Do it anyways. If you two make each other happy then to hell with anybody who thinks different. You only live once. Don't live your life trying to make your family happy, make yourself happy.

I personally am not a big supporter of too big an age difference. I suppose a lot has to do on the ages of the individuals involved and maturity levels. If we are discussing a teenager and a man then certainly it is not correct. But if we are talking about say 5 - 7 years of people in their twenties or older then it is up to them to decide.

Like everyone has said I could give you a heck of an answer but I do need to know how old you are. I am not advising 16 year olds to go out with men in their 20's or 30's.
Joe
Thanks for adding me as a contact
But you never answered the age question hun

This question has been asked here a million times. To make it simple, if he is 35 and you are 25, it doesn't matter. If he is 35 and you are 15, it does matter. (You can substitute numbers, but I hope you got the idea.)
That's it.
And for those of you with "3 year rule" or "4 year rule," it's stupid, if both people are adults. What's wrong if one person is 30 and another one is 40? We are not talking about kids here.

Yea, how much of a difference?
I usually have a 3 year maximum if both r older than 11, & younger than 18. But after u both turn 21 i don't think it matters at all. If ur both adults, that's all that matters.

if it is any where over four years of and age difference then yes it is wierd. I mean think about it... he will be finished with college when you are just starting. I am not saying you can't be friends but for now just enjoy him as the hottie next door but if this is a super serious bond I would wait until after you both have your carreers started it would be easier that way good luck!

I know how you feel. I haven't told my parents about my relationship, either but I think that if you feel you are made for each other and that you get along no problem, age difference shouldn't be a problem. Good luck.
I hope I'm speaking to someone older than 18.

AGE DOES NOT MATTER. This is something that I can not stress enough. Just be sure before you invest yourself in a relationship that consists of a large age gap, that you are ready and feel that you are mature enough for that type of commitment. If this is something that you are serious about, I'm sure your sister will be understanding.

depends how old you are. If your sister is going to kill you about you wanting to be in a relationship with this guy, it's probably not a good idea.

People don't like this answer, but yes it does matter. In a lot of ways. Differences due to age show up gradually, too. So don't assume that since they don't rear their heads early on that they won't come up later.
