my passport is expired and my husband is not a US citizen can he go to canada using his greencard or has that changed.

You would need a passport. No other ID would work. His green card would work for him.

You willn ot need a passport to enter Canada. You will need one however to get back to USA. However, this regulation is for people flying. If you cross the border by car, a valid officially issued document such as driver license is ennough until January 2008.

Recently new law states that you need a passport to enter canada and vise versa.

though i hear the US/canada border is the longest un-protected border in the world so you might wanna sneak in.

you can go over, but you can't come back with one or the proof of one... a green card would probably work for him... for now... soon you are going to need one to go either way... there or back...
