I like A and B, but D is the right way to go, and make sure he/she doesn't get an invitation back

Be upset. Tell them why. They will feel the shame and apologise and you will retain your friendship. If you let it go it will just niggle away at you and you'll start avoiding them and the whole thing will get bigger than it actually is.
Go speak to them now and tell them how you felt when they said (or did) what they did.
Try to do it in a open and honest way... not in an attacking or accusatory way.

Geez - what did the guy do? Maybe you need to share that with us before we can give you a good answer! Short of him taking a giant sh*t on your carpet, I'm not sure what could be that bad!! When you're a host, you're supposed to overlook SMALL infractions in a person's manners. It's called "being the bigger person."

Depends on what he did...if it is relatively minor, let it go...if he went way over the line, than I would choose "b"
