Met Lee Greenwood, Heck of a guy. He even gave those of us backstage passes to his concert, and invitations to his party bash afterwards. Anyway... I agree with you. But I also had to play my trump card. I think that the combination of the 2 are the reflection of America today, and most Americans. Of course the country of origin has changed within it. But still says it all.

Charlie Daniels
In America

Well the eagle's been flying slow, and the
flag's been flying low, and a lot of people's
saying that America's fixing to fall. But
speaking just for me and some people from
Tennessee, we got a thing or two to tell
you all. This lady may have stumbled but she
ain't never fell. And if the Russians don't
believe that they can all go straight to hell.
We're gonna put her feet back on the path
of the righteousness and then God bless America
again.

And you never did think that it ever would
happen again. In America, did you? You never
did think that we'd ever get together again.
Well we damn sure fooled you. We're walking
real proud and we're talking real loud again in
America. You never did think that it ever would
happen again.

From the sound up in Long Island out to San
Francisco Bay, and ev'ry thing that's in between
them is our home. And we may have done a little
bit of fighting amongst ourselves, but you outside
people best leave us alone. Cause we'll all stick
together and you can take that to the bank.
That's the cowboys and the hippies and the rebels
and the yanks. You just go and lay your hand on a
Pittsburgh Steeler fan and I think you're gonna
finally understand.

And you never did think that it ever would
happen again. In America, did you? You never
did think that we'd ever get together again.
Well we damn sure fooled you. We're walking
real proud and we're talking real loud again in
America. You never did think that it ever would
happen again.

Yes, I love my country and the men and women who've given their lives to keep it free. It's my goal to not let any outside influences ruin my country! I want to be proud of our leadership and our military leaders and our people, the most generous in the world! We have to stem the tide of illegal invasions to prevent their state of mind from becoming the norm and continue to keep our country safe. We need new elected officials that will put America and Americans first instead of trying to get more money for the rich! And we don't want our nation to act like the entitled aliens, God help us! Keep calling your officials and everyone you know who can further our cause to keep America free! Secure our borders and make it the legal issue it is and free us of illegals! God Bless America!

I agree, pro or con, we all get to live in this wonderful free country and I thank all the men and women who do the job of defending it. They are heros.

Yes, I am proud to be a legal American. And no, that does NOT make me a racest or a hater.

I agree.

Differences on what we need to defend our country from does not negate that we have the nation's best interest at heart.

Im disgusted by the amount of hateful answers to this questions-its sickening.

Coragryph--get up and defend those freedoms like it is your duty to do! Protest! Write letters! That is the whole nature of our country.

That is the way I feel, but i believe this generation of people have lost respect for one another, and care for no one but themselves and don't care that they're free because they're too busy being angry because one little thing in their life didn't go right. We have become too much of a pagan country.

I think there is a very small and loud group of people in this country that are repulsed by those words. Myself, I know that our freedom has always been paid for by someone, and at different times in our history, we've had to fight to keep it. We are in one of those periods again...and it's shameful how it gets politicized when we all could come together and work on this like a cohesive country.

Well, I agree. What I wish is that we would find common ground and stop fighting with each other.
