I just have to know what you're thinking! When those of you who get upset when someone answers the question you asked, but doesn't tell you what you wanna hear? If you can't handle an honest, serious answer...........DON'T ASK THE QUESTION!

So please tell me whats on your mind if you're one of those types and everyone else let me know if you feel the same way.

Kinda like in real life, huh? People will ask you something then get upset because you didn't say what they wanted to hear.

I learned a long time ago not to ask questions expecting everyone to agree with me or say only what I thought I wanted them to say...if I can't take honest opinions, I don't have any business asking the question.

I think if someone asks a question they really want an answer. I find that people ask and then get beat up about it. So I wonder the same thing as you about answers, if you really don't take question serious and find it stupid or find yourself judgeing the person instead of helping, then why bother answering? Answering with 1 sentence, your gross, are you from the south, your sick or you need help,,,,,,,,,,, well, no sh*t, that's why they asking questions but not getting a real answer. I see alot of that here, not real answers. I think no matter how stupid someone else feels the question is the person asking it is needing an answer and even if they get upset, they are still taking all the answers in and trying to find a way to work it all out. I've seen some cold and judgmental statements to questions and in that case it is obvious why one would be upset as they didn't receive an answer. I don't think it matters if the answer upsets them, that can be a good thing and shows they are struggling and really searching for answers.

Au Tiger, in my opinion a lot of questioners ask for shock value and/or immaturity. As well some may ask to seek the answer that they know isn't the wisest but varifies what they want to do. If you ask 100 people a question and 99 tell you one thing but one person says what you want to hear there are times when you go for the singular answer, even if you know it's not possible for 99 to be wrong and 1 right. Asking total strangers some very sensitive questions has confused me for a while but I am guilty of answering some of them anyway.

When people ask for advice, they really want validation of what they're already thinking. It's subconscious. If the answer is contrary to that, they get offended or offensive and they'll pick the best answer based on who says what they want to hear. I don't have an answer for why this is, it just is. Human nature I guess.

So true. Maybe some people don't realize how much the truth hurts until they actually hear it. Or then again, maybe they are looking for a certain answer and simply can't accept anything else than what they want to hear.

It takes one out of 3000 answers to validate what we know is wrong but don't care anyways. It takes only one answer, and when posting something like what you mention, there is hope that we might be absolutely wrong, and those other 3000 answers are wrong and we are waiting for the one answer that will give us the guts to do things. It's called "Being Desperate"

because sometimes people are in denial dude....they know that they have a problem but just not want to deal with it, and also not let it disrupt they re perfect little world, so it;s like a defense mechanism of sort that we use, to try to hide from the real issue, we are afraid to face the fact that it is true...

It is their inner self wanting to make themselkves feel like they aren't as low as they really are. If you are a liar or a cheater, it helps if you think everyone else is too.

they probably know they will get answers they dont want to hear but they are really looking forward to SOME kind of reasonable answer, so they post it anyway.
