Get a few reuseable plastic containers, one that is about three cups and a small 1/2 cup one, use the large one for a couple cups of lettuce you like, fill some tossable ziploc baggies with salad toppings, like chicken breast (precooked for the week), cucumbers and cherry tomatoes, olives, whatever you like on a salad, and fill the small container with low-fat salad dressing.

At school, put all ingredients in large container, including dressing, put lid back on, and shake to mix and coat with dressing. And don't forget a fork!

On the side, have some low-fat yogurt and a piece of fruit.

Try:

Romaine Lettuce, chicken breast, Parmesan cheese and croutons with Cesar dressing.

Spinach, lean smoked turkey (from the deli), hard boiled egg, mushrooms and a light vinaigrette.

Mixed baby greens, cherry tomato, cucumber, feta cheese, olives and balsamic vinaigrette.

Make chicken breasts and hard boiled eggs on sunday night for the week and prepare your lunch the night before.

Whenever I need to pack a lunch, I always opt for things like sugar-free jello and fruit cups packed in their own juice or no sugar added applesauce as side options. If you like veggies, go for the little pre-portioned baggies of baby carrots.

As far as easy main parts of your lunch, I love baby spinach, feta cheese, and chicken (you can buy it canned) or tuna with a light oil-based dressing (pack it all in a tupperware!), or even something like egg salad made with lowfat mayo on a pita.

Hope those help! Oh, and water instead of soda or juice :)

Salad...
Cucumber sandwich (salt/pepper to taste)...
Skinless chicken...
Tofu...

What you consider delicious someone else might not. But, for a simple "menu," make a garden or chef salad with no cheese or dressing, add a small/medium sized roll (plain), and some milk.

In any case, avoid the diet sodas, they actually help you put *on* weight more than a regular soda ever could.

I used to make my kids homemade calzone. Take fresh dough (or Pillsbury pizza crust) spread your fav spaghetti sauce on it, toppings, and low fat mozz cheeze. Fold the top over and seal it, bake, cool, and cut into sections. It is delicious and holds up well for lunch. You can also fill the dough with ham, cheese, etc. and bake.

Lunchables (lol), but besides that try packing some baby carrots and cut celery (for snacking between), with an apple juice and maybe a light chicken salad for lunch.

Best of luck to you in High School.
