Why is it "bad"? The only reason to stop looking at pornography is if it interferes with your relationship. if both of you are OK with it, then what is the problem?

personally i believe pornography is degrading to everyone involved . there may be some legitimately produced porn - but this is not how it usually goes - especially if your getting stuff from the net . the people who are used to make pornography are often slaves , or at least victims of circumstance . even if you are not paying for what you are viewing you are probably contributing to its profitability through advertising .
i know of people who stopped using heroin , back in the 90's when details of its production became the "issue of the day " , amongst the leftie hippie crowd . basically 90% of he poppy fields had been taken control of by a particuclar militia and people were starving because they wern't being allowed to grow food as well as their cash crop . to me the human rights implications would be the biggest motivator for me - i hate cigarette , and formula companies for similiar reasons .
as for the more practical aspects of stopping , i'll say therapy 1st ( cos it helped me on so many levels ) , what about just getting rid of your computer / internet connection for a while or get rid of your collection ( you could probably sell it and donate the money for a good cause- also you said in other posts about wanting to do good and work out you- could try keeping really busy for a while )? and then if you are still having keeping some of your porn , make it harder to get to , like store it in your garage or in the roof or something .praying helps some people , especially if you can ask others to pray for you to .
any how i honestly hope that you find a way to reconnect with the sacred aspect of sexuality , at least your thinking about it , and that is a good thing .

Well, first is there some overwhelming reason you "should" stop watching porn? I mean, it seems like an odd question. Is it a moral question? A religious one (Lord forbid...)? Or just for your own peace of mind? Pornography being "bad" is a purely subjective opinion. Obsessiveness and compulsive behavior with pornography should certainly be looked into, but if it's a healthy sexual outlet, stop being so hard (no pun intended) on yourself about it.

I suppose that for some people pornography can and does become an addiction. But when viewed for recreation and/or pleasure there is nothing wrong with it. Besides what one person considers porn someone else may consider it as art. So don't be too hard on yourself for enjoying this simple life pleasure, I suppose it is human nature to want to view others in their natural state.

Fill your time with other things you like to do, or go out somewhere; if you're sitting around the house it's gonna be more tempting. Take the temptation away; throw away what you have (porn) and try not to put yourself in a situation where you'll watch it. Good luck.

In my opinion, why do you have to stop looking? It's ok to look at it as long as it doesn't become something that takes over all your time. We all get urges, and it's healthy in my own opinion. Enjoy yourself, but an unhealthy "obsession" is not good - if you have control, then it's not a problem.

Why is it bad? Nothing wrong with it as long as it isn't consuming your life. I have no trouble not looking at it...I can go months or years not looking at it, and then maybe a while where I look at it here and there.
If you have a constant urge to watch it, you have a problem...get help.

Sounds like the urge with you is a bit deeper than most of us. There's nothing wrong with looking at porn but when you come on Y/A sounding like a crack head strung out on porn, you might be a-dick-ted!

I can't stop watching it to, once my brother caught me watching it and he's 2! So now he is addicted to it. I feel terrible. My point is if you keep watching it your going to let it expose you family and friends. If that doesn't work try to put fire-walls on all the bad websites

i agree with one of the answers if it is distroying a relationship then you should stop but if they are both into it and its not bothering or putting a burden on either of the spouses then its not a big deal
