i saw the video, but i was wondering how do people catch those things on tape? if they dont know its going to happen?

The bridge was equipped with video surveillance and the bridge next to it, that is how it was caught on tape. A very, very sad occurence. That 12 billion a month that we are spending to "fight terror in Iraq" could be put to much better use to help reinforce our infrastructure like- bridges, highways, levees, damns, and our power grid.

They were sitting there with the video camera for the past 2 years just waiting for something like this to happen. There are people like that on every bridge in America just waiting....

It's a boring job but it has to be done or we would have no news

There are a LOT of security cameras in use in the USA. Many more than you imagine.

They have these fancy new cell phones that take short movies or still pictures. They're all the rage with young people.
