you don't actually have to soak lentils you know. I'm sure the ones you sprouted will be fine, they just won't look like lentils anymore!

What you're growing there is lentil sprouts, lol! Are you making soup? I think it would be ok to still use them. You really don't have to soak lentils at all, they cook much faster then other types of beans. Just rinse and use in your recipe, will be tender in about 45-60 minutes of cooking.

No, throw them out.
Lentils are the only bean you don't soak.
Boil them for 20-30 minutes and they are done. Don't forget to add celery, onions and carrots to the pot. Also a can of diced tomatoes and some garlic. Serve over elbow noodles for a feast. ENJOY.

Yes, they actually have recipes with sprouted lentils...might add a nice texture.

I'm sure it's not bad for you.... but eww. Just hinking of it in my soup or over rice gives me the creeps.

Next time, soak them a half-hour before using in hot water OR soak overnight in fridge.
