If a boy goes to visit a girl at least once a week(sometimes two or three times) for about a month, arrives at around 6:30 and stays unil 11:30, stays there and holds her for long periods of time, seems horribly depressed whenever he makes her upset and kisses her (cheek, arm while hugging her, lips, forehead) what does it mean?

Now what if I mention that the guy has told her that he likes her, but he comes from a culture where normally the family will NOW want the son to have any sort of relationship with someone form another culture -and he's the oldest son, meaning he will carry the family name-. Then he tells the girl that he can't love her, that he doesn't love her, but then when she cries he stays to comfort her and looks absolutely miserable the next day, and then indirectly tells her that he loves her ("Love is a crazy thing, you never love the person you should love"). And his parents start indirectly trying to stop him from seeing the girl but he still goes to see her?

Of course, but all you can control is your actions not someone elses. I think this girl should show this guy what he will miss out on, and even if this girl could adapt a little and take on the culture of the guy, maybe even wear what his culture wears, become more imformed, and adopt some customs that this guy's culture has; maybe she can win over the family, and her guy. Maybe they'll realize it's not from where a person comes from or what culture they were born into that's most important (it's not her fault she was born in a different culture- no one has power over that) but rather the quality, and character of the person.

Most of the time that statement is true, but there an exception to the rule: The action above in this story is sad. Love is crazy sometime, This young man is going against the rules of his parents, and culture. I think he's sending mixed emotions.

His actions are saying that he loves her, but his mind will prevent him from following through. A persons sense of "tradition" can keep him from doing what he knows he should. Very few individuals are strong enough to go against family feelings. We all know what happened to Romeo and Juliet. Both of them will probably end up disappointed because they will have to go their separate ways. But even if they ended up together, they would still not be happy because of all the family members that they disappointed.

Sorry, but I don't think he will go against his parent's wishes on this one. The girl should find someone within her own culture who can treat her well and leave this guy alone. He won't continue seeing her once his parents find out.

this guy doesn't have balls or isn't really in love, either way there's no excuse for his lack of manhood towards relationship without his mama and papas approval.
