When you go on your round of accutane, and your face and body completely clears up, and then stop on accutane, does it come back FULL FORCE? or can you be able to control it?

I was on Accutane for about a year when I was 16. I stopped taking it and never had bad acne (cystic acne) for years and years. I would still get a pimple or two every now and then, but they were under control.

Just recently, I started getting really bad cystic acne again. I'm starting a second round of Accutane in September. I was reading that most people have to get another session of the medication years later because their acne comes back (that's what happened to me).

I guess it just depends on a lot of things like how well your body takes the medication, how bad your acne was to start with, how long you take the medication, etc.

If you are considering getting on the medication just talk to your doctor about it. Good luck!

For some people it does, but for most after about a year a few, controllable pimples come on, but usually a second round can clear it all up for good.

NO! not at all...my aunt, my sister, and i have all been on it and my aunt is 47, she went on it when she was 19 and she said that she could count a total of 5 pimples in her entire life that she got after acutane and they were only tiny ones not the big red ones. And they went away after one day. Seriously, this drug really does work and you wont ever have acne again after going on it.
I hope this helps you, dont worry about it your skin will be forever changed after your done with the treatment. :-)
