It is possible for a dog to pass a chicken bone, but it sometimes doesn't turn out that way. Even if she isn't choking it could puncture and damage the stomach asophagus or inestines. Take her to the vet and get an x ray. Go from there. Good luck. We will keep your little bugger in our prayers!

Take her to the vet right away. I had a friend who had a Golden retriever who died from intestinal (sp?) problems after eating a chicken bone. The bone might splinter inside your dog and damage her digestive system.
I noticed some people are saying not to worry and that their dogs have eaten chicken bones before. I am not saying I am positive that your dog will die but better safe than sorry.

What kind of dog?
I have a large springer who has gotten a fair share of bones and chocolate--he's been fine every time--thankfully for us.
Monitor the behavior of the dog and if he or she seems to be in pain, take her to the vet. I'm sure they'd talk out a payment plan, but if you love the dog, money doesn't matter.

First calm down take a deep breath, Take her to the vet or atleased call them and explain the situation, chicken bones splinter in the throat and cuts them, and as you know what goes in must come out. just to be safe, im not saying throw her in the car and drive but atleased call the vet and see what he or she says to do! I personally think she will be fine but just try to play it safe! I lost a dog due to chicken bones and rat poison. the bone cut the inside of his throat and the poison got in there faster.

Don't leave chicken bones out for dogs to reach for one.
Keep an eye on her, if she starts gagging, coughing and spitting call your vet immediately. There is a thing called silent aspiration, you may not even know she is having difficulty, so please watch her.
Sorry my boss came in didn't get a chance to finish what I was saying.
My Yorkie I had once got a hold of a chicken bone, I think my hubby's daughter gave it to her. Anyway it was a few weeks later is when she started having problems with it, and we took her to the vet.

She should be fine, we do not feed cooked bones to dogs because they COULD splinter and hurt the dog.
But its not like eating poison, just watch her for a couple of days if she starts showing signs of distress then take her to the vet.

She's going to be okay. Chicken bones are not good for her stomach but it doesn't mean she's going to die if she ate one. It's not necessary to take her to the vet, just give her a little of milk. When you're dog eat something bad always give her milk so she can trow it out.

If she ate the chicken bone and isnt choking....she is fine. My medium sized dog seems to find chicken bones all the time. Usually if they are going to choke, they do so while attempting to swallow it. Just watch her for about an hour or two to make sure that she isnt going to try and throw it up.....but all in all I say she will be ok!!

Monitor her closely. Chances are she will pass the bone without a problem, but there is the possibility of a perforated intestine. If she is showing no discomfort after two or three days she's OK.

Don't worry my dog has eaten so many chicken bones in his life and he is fine. If your dog is coughing a lot then it is just going to throw up the bone and it will be fine. If it really really looks bad then get a veterinarian.
