I am a Christian, and I believe we will be judged by Jesus. We will not see Joseph Smith on Judgement Day.

First, Joseph Smith will not judge us...the Mormons believe that Joseph Smith will give consent of whether or not you'll be judged...

"no man or woman in this dispensation will ever inter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith."

The thing is, Joseph Smith wont be saying "yeah, you can go into Heaven"...The Mormons believe that in order to get into Heaven you must believe the words of all the prophets...and who was a prophet? Joseph Smith...so if you don't believe in him, than you wont get into Heaven.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me." John 13:20...if you don't accept the prophets, you don't accept Jesus...if you don't accept Jesus you wont be accepted by God...

First of all, if Joseph Smith did this for glory and power, he didn't do a very good job. Not when he had more people trying to kill him, or whatever, than were honoring him. He had no money, he was always poor. None of this rant you did here you can prove. He did no fortune telling, he had no amulets, or divining rods, he never summoned spirits. The proof that he believed in God and Jesus Christ is the Book of Mormon. You should try reading it sometime. Tell me, sir, what do you propose in place of "Mormonism" to us Mormons? Read Acts 5:34-40 about Gamaliel.

Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

(1 Corinthians 6:2 - 3)

This is a biblical doctrine, that the priesthood holders will judge the world. Mormons believe that Joseph Smith is the head prophet of the Dispensation of the Fullness of Times. Or the End Times, and thus being that, He will have the power to judge people of this dispensation, as other priesthood holders will have that power delegated to them, through Joseph Smith, and that under and through Jesus Christ.

People trying to criticize Mormonism always cite the "Journal of Discourses" which is a collection of old and outdated sermons given by various old church leaders on various topics. It was never official church doctrine and was given to a lot of pioneers who lived in an isolated area who had a lot of axes to grind against enemies who drove them out of their homes into the desert. Most of these sermons are not even taught or discussed in the Church today and nobody thinks that is hiding anything. Mormonism is and has always had changing attitudes about a lot of issues and changes with the times. We are a church of ongoing Revelation. We have living prophets and apostles and do not have a closed canon of finished scripture. This is a new and ongoing dispensation of revelation from God.

"We believe what God has revealed, what He does now reveal, and that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God."

False notion. Jesus is the judge and the advocate before the Father. Here on earth, the priesthood authorities are given the responsibility for judging our worthiness and imposing discipline where needed. In heaven, they will have a say but Christ is the judge. Joseph is no different than the rest of us in that regard.

Mormon Prophet Brigham Young said that Joseph Smith's approval was needed to get entrance to heaven.

In 1854 Young proclaimed, "How are you going to get your resurrection? You will get it by the President of the resurrection pertaining to this generation, and that is Joseph Smith Jun. Hear it all ye ends of the earth; if ever you enter into the kingdom of God it is because Joseph Smith let you go there. This will apply to Jews and Gentiles, to the bond, and the free; to friends and foes; no man or woman in this generation will get a resurrection and be crowned, without Joseph Smith saying so. The man who was martyred in Carthage Jail, State of Illinois, holds the keys of life and death to this generation. He is the President of the resurrection in this dispensation, ..." (An unpublished Discourse given October 8, 1854. Also found on page 99 of Eugene E. Campbell's book entitled The Essential Brigham Young).

Brigham Young also credited Joseph Smith with the responsibility of where mankind will reside following the resurrection. In his article entitled "Joseph Smith Among the Prophets" printed in the June 1994 issue of the Ensign magazine, BYU professor Robert L. Millet quoted Brigham Young who, in 1859, stated, "From the day that the priesthood was taken from the earth to the winding up things of all things, every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are—I with you and you with me. I cannot go there without his consent." It would be difficult for the Mormon to insist that this was just one isolated "opinion" of Mormonism's second prophet since this quote can also be found in the LDS Church manual entitled Search These Commandments (1984, pg. 133) as well as in the Journal of Discourses (7:289).

We believe that we will be judged by Jesus as well. The judges (such as JS, Moses, Peter, etc.) are more like witnesses that proclaim what we have been taught. We will also be witnesses about ourselves the good and the bad.

but It is Jesus who will Judge us for it is His blood that can save us and nothing else.

Their whole doctrine is false. They even believe in a different Jesus. They believe that God came down and had actual sex with Mary, thus Jesus was born. They believe that every Mormon man will themselves become Gods someday, and populate their own planet. They believe that Jesus worked is way up to a God position after being born a man. And that is the goal of every good Mormon.

It is so unfortunate that totally corrupted the word of God. Salvation means something totally different to them. Atonement means something totally different.

I would encourage you to talk to your Pastor about them. There are some many fine books written on Mormonism. There are also ex Mormons who have written good books.

Mormons do their best to use the name Christian, but when you examine their teachings in the light of historical Christianity they fall short. Remember, do not attack them. Love them, and pray for them. I know many fine Mormons and they are sincere, but unfortunately...sincerely wrong!

Rest assured you will only stand before Jesus!
