I don't have to have "proof" as you so put it. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is the only 100% true church on the face of the earth. All Christian faiths have bits and pieces of the truth, but none have it all except the true gospel of Jesus Christ: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
OK, Rac got it exactly right...but someone will find a way to claim that's not proof because it's not from the Bible.
Ok...give me scriptural proof only that it is not the only true church in the world today...can't do it can you? Just like I can't give you the proof you ask for, you cannot disprove my faith.

Yes, we do believe we are the only true church. We believe that we have the fullness of the gospel. We believe that after Christ died, his apostles had his authority. However, they were killed off before that authority could be passed on. People were no longer led by Christs apostles and no longer had the Priesthood (the authority to act in God's name). This is why so many churches sprouted up. People were in a state of confusion. They taught what they remembered or thought to be correct. We call this the apostasy, or a falling away. Hundreds of years later, Christ restored His church through the prophet Joseph Smith. Why did he wait? He must have felt that the earth was ready for it to be restored. We now have the Priesthood authority back on the earth. We are the only church who has that authority.
"And also those to whom these commandments were given, might have power to lay the foundation of this church, and to bring it forth out of obscurity and out of darkness, the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth, with which I, the Lord, am well pleased, speaking unto the church collectively and not individually - " D&C 1:30

Yes, this what is believed. At the same time, we do not deny anyone the right to their own believes.
D&C 1:30 And also those to whom these commandments were given, might have power to lay the foundation of this church, and to bring it forth out of obscurity and out of darkness, the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth, with which I, the Lord, am well pleased, speaking unto the church collectively and not individually—
4 Nephi 1:26 And they began to be divided into classes; and they began to build up churches unto themselves to get gain, and began to deny the true church of Christ.

Yes, we do. Our prophet, President Hinckley, teaches that all Christian religions have fragments of the truth in them, but that our church is the most (and only) completely correct.
P.S. This has nothing to do with your question, but I want to list my favorite scriptures here. They are--
Proverbs 3: 5-7
and 1 Ne. 7:12.
Thanks!

You want "proof" that the mormon church is 'true' by referring to several of the books authored by Joseph Smith who wrote "This book is true because it said so?"
Why the hell direct this question to lds only? You already know what the answer is supposed to be. Are you fishing for net 'buddies' so you can get on Dateline?
What a bucket of manure. God, I hope you're not a lawyer.

I believe that the LDS church is the RESTORED church of Jesus Christ. There is no one passage of scripture, but the Book of Mormon itself makes this true.

Think of it this way Catholics have a cross in front of the church when God said to have no graven images and they pray to saints instead of ONLY to God and Jesus and they focus on Jesus's suffering in the Atonement
