That depends. If it's being taught by man, then yes because man is fallable. But if it is of the word of the Lord, then we are to prove it by looking up scripture, because His word is holy. Most of the time now, when I am taught the wrong thing I try to find answers but if not, I give it up to God because He will right the wrong in due season.

Well, it would take us forever to question everything, but I would say don't believe everything handed to you. If you find something that you feel is very important, then question, don't just accept things because a relative, friend or "the majority" tells you it is correct.

Yes, I have. And yes, the public schools were teaching Columbus discovered America... he never set foot on it, he landed in Cuba and he wasn't, exactly, looking for a better trade route in that sense... he was looking for a better way to bring slaves back as Columbus was a slave-trader.

I questioned everything, and I think everyone should until they KNOW they have found the truth (Jesus).

I was sort of taught the wrong thing... my family called themselves christians, we never went to church, and I knew almost nothing about God, so maybe it was just lack of teaching.

Questioning everything has been a huge part of my religious life and practice. It is shifting now for me with the realization that I was too intellectual and brittle about that, though. So now it's more a practice of being soft-hearted, honest, direct and "open" with everything ... in order to connect and learn, realize and embody.

Hey it's No*no
No. The only time you should ever question what you've been taught. Is if it doesn't line up with the word. G.B.

Yes bethybug. By all means. We should study carefully and prayerfully the word of God. The Bible says search the scriptures, Study to show yourself.

I haven't always known Bible truth. I chose to study and I broke away from the traditions of men.
