If You Feel Down,?
next to a person that seems extremely negative inside and out, and they are influencing you this way and you are a generally upbeat person, could they possibly be not at peace with God or themselves. (Yes, they always wear dark heavy black glasses all their life everywhere they go. Never see their eyes. And I get a terrible feeling with them. Could it be that I read their hearts or soul and am getting this vibe.

No, they are not blind.

2 Corinthians 6 - Do Not Be Yoked With Unbelievers (NIV)
14Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 15What harmony is there between Christ and Belial[b]? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."[c]
17"Therefore come out from them
and be separate, says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you."[d]
18"I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."[e]

lol. I'm quite suspicious that you may be experiencing empathy, as I often do. Busy places can be difficult to face without my trusty mp3 player to distract me.

However, I think the glasses thing is just your imagination. Maybe it's rather bright where you are. Perhaps it's a fashion thing.

You might want to think that it may not be the present that you are seeing in these people. Most people look miserable in public anyway (I put it down to empathic overload, although I really don't know), and you could be seeing their future.

I remember seeing a woman this morning. Every sense and vibe I got from her was like the sun playing on morning dew. Bright, happy and peaceful. But she looked like she'd just left a funeral. So I experimented by giving her a quick smile, and the smile I got back was a very happy, contented, 'just got laid' one. lol.

And yes that was precisely the impression I got.

If you are a caring person then is is easy to feel what someone else is feeling. We are called to share the good and the bad times with others out of love. I do not know what you mean by "reading their heart", but you are reading their mood. This is good but it can also be very draining . Many professionals who deal with people and death or tragedies run the risk of "burn out" exactly because of this being caught up in others emotions and feeling. Make time to regroup but I think it is a fine testimony to your personality to have empathy for others.

people that live in a negative state can have that affect on people that are around them, putting them in a bad mood or even depressing them. same with happy people, when you spend alot of time with happy people it tends to rub off on you, and put you in a better mood. and i assume if this person is always like this then they aren't at peace with god, in fact it's probably satan bringing them down, and keeping them this way. they need to establish a real relationship with god and pray for guidance to be free of these horrible feelings, that they are experienceing and transmitting to others..pray for them to get better, and have a happier life, and if they continue to make you feel bad, god is telling you something, that it's unhealthy to be around this person, and it might be best if you distance yourself from them. god bless.

They must be hiding something like ugliness. If your Spirit is warning you to avoid this person take it for what it is worth.
Do your job and ignore him like he does you. If he doesn't leave you alone seek help from your supervisor. If you can't find relief either learn to strengthen your Spirit to cope or leave. There are other jobs. Come out from amongst them.
God Bless!
