A good friend of mine, who is catholic, has invited me to the baptism of both her baby and her sisters. I was just wanting to know what is customary of a person in my situation should I be able to attend?

Thanks for any help you offer!

You shouldn't need to do anything odd. Just do as the other guests do. You should *not* take communion, if that is offered - the RCC frowns upon non-members doing that. In my experience, communion is not offered during a baptism, so there should be no problem.

I hope this helps.

Do by all means, attend. If the baptism is being held after Mass, you may even attend the Mass. Just don't go up for communion. And afterwards, if they're having a baptismal party, go along. bring a nice baby gift for the newest member of the Mystical Body of Christ. And something nice for the two sisters as well. They have also become new members of Christ's Mystical Body. (See Paul in I Corinthians).

have fun!

Attend. Being polite does not mean you support or agree with what's being done. My wife and I have been to a Hindu service and participated. The people holding the service knew we are Christians and do not agree with the beliefs of their faith. I trust that one day, God will show them that Jesus is the way to Him. When they question their beliefs, I pray I will be in a position to help guide them to the Savior.
