Did you actually do work, or did you have another mode of procrastination?

I used to read news stories updated by the minute, mainly world stuff on BBC. Once in awhile I'd read the laymen commentary on USA Today but that usually just made me mad.

I actually worked at lightspeed.

I worked for a month before I came to Y!A. I was an intern doing website development at the fire dept., was supposed to last 3 months. I did the bulk in about a month, then I came to Y!A and my work speed has decreased 210% ever since.

I'm a network engineer. As a matter of fact I'm working in the lab right now. I'm multitasking.

I'm building a firewall and in between lenghty processes I'm here stretching my brain on Y!A.

Before I would just check out some lame news sites. That's about it.

Between times at the computer I homeschool my boys, and take care of the home front.
As well as create in Paint Shop Pro. I watch my time on here, as much as possible.

I worked, I'm afraid.
I stared deeply and meaningfully into people's eyes.

I admit to playing really old computer games at lunchtime... We had a very ancient machine running Windows '98 which could run a few classics I couldn't get to work on my home machine. ( "Empire: wargame of the century")

I found a variety of other ways to waste time and be generally unproductive.
My spending on Amazon and eBay has gone down considerably, so Yahoo Answers has certainly had a positive impact on my personal finances!

RN...I worked in the Trauma Unit at a local hospital, and when I burned out from that,
which was about every 4 months, I went to
Labor and Delivery...I think I like it there
the most.

I was a human breastmilk (both sides, yes) and a diaper-changing machine. Now they are quite independent and happy with grandma and grandpa, leaving me to my addictions (ahem,... lol) and to pamper my neglected husband (sigh).

But I can't quite fit into my high school clothes *yet* - almost! but getting there. I can't believe I was able to do the splits back then!

I don't have access to a computer when I'm on stage or teaching a yoga class so I still get my work done! That being said I can understand how hard it is to get off this forum when I'm at home.
