So far, the vote seems to be it's me. Okay then. Observer bias I guess.

I'm a Christian and my avatar is always smiling. Actually I smile a lot in life. Life is not always easy, but I guess I look at the glass as being half full instead of half empty.

Your picture however is a little creepy with your gray face and red eyes - a little on the Satanic side.

The Christian avatars always have the "Happy" face and a rainbow in the back ground, then these people with friendly looking avatar tell everyone if we don't agree with them we'll spend all of eternity being tortured. Hitler said something similar but it was less violent....

(This does not mean all Christians just the fundies, the Christians have normal looking Avatars)

We have the best Avatars.

I've noticed the exact opposite. Most of (I'd say 90%) the atheist avatars have angry looks, while the Christians are abstract and/or smiling. Do you wear glasses or contacts? Maybe you should get them checked.

No i don't sense disgusted? it particularly is terrible and choose psychological. What a assertion asserting "Why do no longer you bypass meet an outstanding female at church." How bout NO! this is freedom of religion. And Christians are the main choose psychological faith in spite of the certainty that it does not fallow what the believe in. Atheist don;t bypass around pushing somebody to alter and grow to be like them. and that i'm a Christian, with the help of ways.

I can't say it's something I've noticed, but I'll keep an eye out.

I have noticed a lot of avatars seem to be generic, though.
A lot of people look very similar, like a Yahoo! CloneArmy™.

I've noticed Christian avatars are usually people and atheist avatars are usually animals or something random.

It's just you.

Once someone told me that I must be an atheist because my avatar looked angry.

But you can spot a fundamentalist by the wide open grin on their avatar.

I'm an atheist. LOL

By the way, I'm also a graphic designer and know my way around the Photoshop; I just don't care enough about my avatar to hand-craft one.
