You can buy cooling mats. Also make sure that he always has access to water. If he tends to spill bowls, you can get a coop cup which hangs on the wire of the crate. 70's should be fine for a dog. They also sell fans that you can put on his crate which has inserts that you freeze in the freezer. It's kind of like his own mini air conditioner.

What sort of crate are you using? If it is one of those plastic airline crates then you're using the wrong type of crate. Those don't get enough airflow through them - in any temperature. The type you should use is one of the wire ones. And if you're already using a wire one, then 70's sounds quite comfortable. I'd put a fan in the room as well.

Crate training is a great ideal and no being in the 70's won't be bad for the dog. Leaving the crate outside with the dog in it would be bad.

Yes, you are going to need to keep the crate cool. Keep the AC on and put a fan close to the crate. Or use an all-wire crate and just cover at night at bedtime.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMU2j
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

At 70 degrees he should be very comfortable in the crate... While you are gone he will just sleep in his crate...
don't feel guilty and leave him out loose in the house as the house is a huge place for him to have to guard -
being so young.. he will make lines of poop and pee all over the place warning people to stay away from him...
Crates are safe as he is a den animal..

overlook approximately it. it is stressful till now each and every little thing yet once you give way it is going to easily make the habit worse. the subsequent time you place him in there, positioned him in together with his favority chewy toy and something mushy that has a comforting fragrance to him including a blouse of yours it somewhat is already been worn which you do no longer suggestions parting with. We continually positioned a blanket on the backside of the crate so as that they are able to burrow and for convenience, it is not very friendly to sleep on problematical plastic. previous that in basic terms attempt and get him used to his crate and attempt and get him to work out his crate as a good at situations once you do no longer might desire to lock him in there. in the process the day save the crate door open and inspire him to stroll in by utilising putting treats or favourite toys interior the crate. Then whilst he walks in supply him a lot of compliment and pets. permit him walk out whilst he's waiting. flow like that for awhile till he receives used to it and then progression to final the door after him. proceed to offer him compliment if he remains in without whining. Then progression to leaving the room, some seconds till now each and every little thing and flow to longer stretches of time as much as a pair minutes, persevering with to compliment if he does not whine. Then come evening time he might desire to do lots extra suitable.

The 70's are fine.
If it is in the 90's inside, it would be a problem.
