Islam allows the wives of Muslim men to keep their own faith if they are Christian or Jews ?

Christian or Jewish Women who are Married to Muslim men are allowed to keep their faith and Shariah protects their rights.

The wife of Yasir Arafat is still a Christian.

The ultimate proof that Islam can co-exist with other faiths is the right in Shariah for a wife to stay non-Muslim.

If Islam was "KILL ALL THE INFIDELS" as the Crusaders would want us all to believe then Islam would not allow "infidelity" to enter into the homes of Muslims.

How many other faiths can show this mutual co-existance in the HOME which is the very heart of the society, family and faith ?

If a faith says "you can only marry of your own faith or your own denomination" then that is the foundation for people to NOT be able to co-exist on a long term basis.

Muslims ruled Jerusalem for over 1,000 years and some say it was the most peaceful time in Jerusalems history.

The ultimate proof is in their actions.

They all forget the verse in the Koran that says to make peace with an enemy that wants to make peace.

BTW-Yasar Arafat has no wife - he is dead, dead, deadski.

This applies only in some countries, what I would describe as the "secular" muslim states such as Palestine, Turkey, formerly Iraq, Indonesia, etc. In many countries, you can't do that such as Saudi, Malaysia etc . Anyone who marries a muslim has to convert whether male or female.

yes OTHER religions do allow a husband OR a wife to have a member of an other religion, all of them do, however UNLIKE islam, both the woman and the man can marry outside, in islam ONLY the man is allowed to marry outside and the children must be raised islamic..
