if it had work around the carburetor area, i would say that there is a heat deflector shield missing.
that is the piece that sits between the carb and the intake manifold, and it simply keeps the heat of the manifold away from the carb so the fuel going to the carb doesn't vaporize before it goes into the combustion chamber.
or check the butterfly choke to see if it is closing on you and not opening when the engine is warmed up
it sounds like it is a fuel delivery problem, not necessarily a mechanical or electrical problem

This seems strange, but I'll send you to the people who'd saved my butt from going to the dealer countless times.

try replacing the air temp.sensor,and the water temp.sensor.computor may be getting the wrong info,forcing too much gas into the cylinders,causing it to flood
