THIS WILL COST a lot of money but hire an Attorney to have the charges expunged from you record and the court system then go see another recruiter. Good Luck and hope you have 1000's of dollars to spend and maybe still not get in And prob should not be allowed to join anyway.

It will work if you are willing to go a bit farther than 20 minutes away. Havana is 6 hours away if you are willing to hijack a plane, and they will certainly let you enlist. I think you also might be an ideal candidate for the Romanian Armed Forces. And don't give up on the possibility of joining up and proudly serving the the glorious army of Argentina.

It will be the same in every town. Maybe JUST MAYBE, check into the National Guard.. The NG isnt as picky sometimes, do the NG for 6 months and you will be able to go Active Army much easier.. Cant guarantee what if the Guard will let you in depending on your charges. But it's worth a shot..

I have a friend who got a DWI in high school and has since been in the Marines for 6 years. I imagine, you can get into the Army with a misdemeanor. As I understand they are the most lax with recruit requirements.

If you have a record it is my understanding the Military as a whole doesn't want you. Going somewhere else will do you no good as they will do a background check and find your past the same as the others. However you could check with the other branches maybe, possibly one of the others might consider you.
Today they want a different kind of people from what they wanted say 20-40 years ago.

Depending on what the misdemeanors were, you may not even be allowed to handle a firearm. That will automatically and permanently disqualify you from any military service.
Did you try talking with a recruiter to see if there is any way past this problem? If you are not acting up any more, waivers are possible for some things.

The recruiter you spoke to probably entered you into the data base and put you on the "DNE" (Do Not Enlist) roster. You won't be able to join any branch. If you do, and you've withheld that information prior to joining you will be discharged with a General Discharge under less than honorable conditions and given a re-enlistment code of RE-4 (barred from every joining again).

Ummm... they all use the same play book buddy. Try the Salvation Army... if the US Army won't take you, I doubt no one else will either.
This is an excellent case of the younger generation not using their head in thinking about the future! Tell me... were any of those six acts of stupidity worth it?

They won't accept you anywhere else. You can try going back to the recruiter and ask if there is anything you can do to join or anything to assist the army.
