Islam and Muslims?

Ok what do you guys think of muslims?? Just because a small group of extremists do wrong things, people get the wrong idea of Islam. Islam is not a violent religion, people make it seem that way. The Quraan refers to non-muslims as out "brothers and sisters." And theses extremists use religion as an excuse for there horrible actions. Please tell me what you think.

Wow. Some of you say that Islam is a religion of violece. Look at what the US is doing. Atacking Iraq, and now planing on attacking Pakistan. The truth is that which ever religion's people are in power will be the religion people respect. For all you said something against Islam, read the quraan and come back. Then you can criticize all you want.

I am a white, protestant, middle-aged man.

Islam is truely a religion and lifestyle of great majesty, worthy of respect from all Christians, Jews and other religions.

I look to the life of Muhammad as the purest example of Islam. I also have great respect for Saladin and Sulyman.

Every time I've communicated with a Muslim, they ahve shown me great respect. I always show my respects, also.

The extremists are not, in my opinion, practicing Islam as demonstrated by Muhammad.

Well, you asked so I will answer honestly. I don't think it's just a small group of extremists. Polls have shown it can be anywhere from 25-60% of Muslims, depending on where the poll was taken, that actually support the techniques used by the terrorists. With over a billion followers, that's not a small number. islam also refers to non-Muslims as infidels, people of The Book and tells what should be done to those people, and it's not nice or peaceful.

Muslims do not like that some people consider them all terrorists. I don't, but I do know that the belief allows for terrorism, allows for forcing changes to existing laws so that allah's will can be done, allows for the violence that we see from Muslims.

I don't like that Muslims have absolutely no problem saying that The Holy Bible is corrupt, which can be considered offensive to Christians and Jews, but don't allow others to say we don't believe the quran is from God. I don't like that Muslims have no problem saying God lied to us and Jesus didn't actually die on the cross, but we are not allowed to say the truth about Muhammad which is he was a violent man who raped his captives and cut off people's heads.

I don't like islam and I pray for Muslims.

The straight out truth, this is what I think and know about Muslims and Islam.

Muslim are great people as long as you never ever question them or their faith. Ever. They can tell you what they believe, and you dare not to tell them what they believe about them. Do you recall the cartoons. Now these days in Jordan they have sign posted many places " EL El Rasul" meanin except the Prophet. In other words, do not dare to say anything about the prophet that is not favorable to him. The muslims can say anything as they wish, but other shouldn't say or even think negatively about him or his life, El El Rasul.

The Quran has many good things in it, but it is not all rosey for the non muslims, and even for the muslims themselves, such as the sunnis and the shias.

Yes, It does say our brothers and sister, but it also said the infidels and what a muslim should do to them. Did you read about what will happen in the end of days to the Jews.
hers is some for you. There will be a war between believers and non believers. The Jews will hide behind a tree, and that specific tree will call upon the muslims to come and to kill that Jew. Do not take my words, read it for yourself.

I also heard an imam preaching that one day Islam will conqure the world and all non muslims will become the servants and slave for the Muslims, and it is legal for the Muslim to take the non muslim and sell them in the market as pigs. I also heard another imam teaching that when the muslim conquer the world, the non muslim will be treated as second class citizen, they will not be able to have the same rights and privileges as the Muslims.

many horrible things are happening in the world to the muslims and by the muslims. I can tell much more, but life is short, and most likely now you hate me, and I will be getting lots of thumbs down for telling you what is the truth and how some muslims treat others even the muslims themselves.

I don't like Islam. Some Muslims makes it very hard to like it, and some others choose to keep close eye in fear they will be regarded as against there own religion, Islam.
But, I do care for many Muslims.

Is it peaceful! I don't know. Why is it places such as sudan still have slaves and dying everyday by the hand of their brothers and sisters the Muslims! and now they are asking the help of those infidels and the Americans to save them from the hand of their Brothers the Muslims. How do you feel when someone tells you what things they don't like in the Quran, and yet the Muslim say it all the time about other religion! do they have they right or the license to do it, and others don't have the freedom of speech!

I stood up and spoke for the Muslims and their rights, but I hardly if any see Muslim standing up for the rights of the non Muslims, and those who do, are being persecuted by the Muslims themselves. It is seems I am required to speak out for the Muslim all the time, and if I didn't! I got the worse treatment you can believe. Some people don't think that I have a life, and their life is all that matter, and if didn't stand for them, then I am against, and got basked and insulted for it.

Dear Muslimah, How often have you stood up and defended the right of those whom are non Muslims! I don't know, that is why I ask.

These days religion seems the fashion of the day, and if one said something not with Islam, it is not right and not Politically Correct, and yet, it is fair game to say whatever about the Christians, they are fair game. Just look around this site, and see how many make fun of the Christians and their beliefs. You think you have bad!
In the US the Church is separat from the the state, and it is not permitted to mention the word God in school, and yet in school such as CA. These days they are teaching about Islam and your prophet! why is that!

The Atheist around here, disagree with the Christians and their belief in God, and yet, how many of them attack you for believing in God! not many if any!

Whether it is Muslim governments, Muslim states or Muslim people, y'all love causing fights, chaos, arguments.

Yes, the acts of terrorism itself may have been undertaken by a small group of extremists however you are forgetting that research and polling has proven that many in the Muslim world, regard osama as a hero, viewed 9/11 as a good thing and believe that terrorism is justified. In most Muslim countries the majority of populace despise anything that is not Islamic. What about all those Muslims who were rejoicing when 9/11 took place. The didn't start the water works untill people started to target them.
