You never said if you need to lose the fat in your calves or if you just want to tone them.
If you need to lose some fat in them, do cardio exercises. Power walk, run, get on the elliptical (or similar machine), do kickboxing, step aerobics, or something like that. While those will use your legs a lot, the key is to do something that will help you lose weight all over. The rest will follow.
If your calves are already in decent shape and you just want to tone them, here is my suggestion:
~stand with your legs no more than shoulder-width apart. rest a decent-sized weight (like 10 lbs in each hand) on each shoulder. gently raise your heels as if you are trying to stand on your tip toes. do 3 sets of 20 reps. you can modify this exercise by turning your toes outward (in a Plie stance) and inward (like pigeon-toed).

Footballers and rugby players are often associated with having big calves. And ladies who wear high heels. I hear clmbing up the stairs on your toes is also quite a good way.

Stair stepper or bike. The easiest is to hold weights in your hands. Keep your body still and raise up on your toes. You'll feel that in your calves. Increase number and weight as you can.
