I have had the vein laser treatment on both my legs. One has slightly discolored a few "spots" on upper thigh. Tho nothing major. I guess I can live w/it. I did have a large vein on the backside of one of my legs, and Dr. said it was "too" large.... Laser cannot reduce everything, but it does reduce multiple signs of most all the unsightly little ones. Make sure to request a pain reliever before treatment. I have an extremely high tolerance to pain, and did not take anything the first go. I learned b4 going in for the touch up appt. It just stings! Especially after he continues up and down each leg. Money well spent. Around $300 total for both legs for one appt. Texas area.

Before you try the laser clinic route, have you perhaps tried taking Horse Chestnut?
It's supposed to be good in fixing things like vericous veins and helps in maintaining leg health (swelling and stuff)

Um I'm not sure but I really don't think you can remove a vein... especially a large one, wouldn't that be vital for your survival? If you have skinny legs that might be why it seems so large to you because it sticks out more..

See a doc. A clot is always possible from those and it could be all scheeroot.
A ligation may be in order.
