Hi, im a Christian and i dont think that atheists are heartless... i have an atheist friend and she's a good friend, it took her some time to accept me because of my faith but after many years she has changed her mind, she believes in God(Jesus) today... and i asked her the same question im asking you now..? =) why do you think that there's no God? I dont wish to hurt anybody with this question... but it is an honest question.

Now....who is calling you heartless? We need to be aware that people are not born knowing that Jesus is Lord and the bible can be trusted as true. Without God's blessing and wisdom, without the transforming power of Jesus Christ, a person will not come to know this. Atheists are not heartless. They are people that do not believe in God. That can always change, at any time, and for anyone reading this who is an atheist, I pray in Jesus' name that it does change.

They do not think we are heartless, but I do thing some religious believers find atheism a cold pill to swallow, and they believe that we are going to hell.
My question is, 'how can they expect us to throw skepticism out the window and embrace their religion with no evidence, when rationality is the basis of most atheists' positions?
P.S. Tuberism: My view is that there is no evidence for a god, and that god does not likely exist. Is it a matter of faith to say you lack belief in unicorns or Santa, for which there is no evidence also? It is not rhetorical, because I do expect an answer and it fits perfectly with every concept that cannot be proven.
It does not make sense to say "I don't know," as in "possibly," when it comes to any issue. There is no 100% way to disprove anything, but does it make sense to believe in everything, or to give it a high probability of existing?

I don't expect Atheists to become anything other than heartless. They have accepted something like faith, and are in complete denial about it. They have faith that they are right about there not being a God! No proof needed. Instead of being scientific and saying that they don't know, they accept the reasoning and rhetoric that there just isn't any God.
Then they say, " Well I don't have any faith in pink unicorns, FSM, or flying teacups", which is rhetorical and redundant.

I don't think atheists are heartless. As you said, a heartless person would find it very difficult (if not impossible) to accept God.
But we know that's not true because there are many Christians out there who used to be atheists.

I don't think all Atheists are "heartless"... But they sure do seemed pissed off about something that is apparently inconsequential to them in the first place.

I don't think you're heartless; what I wonder is how you can have a heart and not let Jesus into it.

Athiests, you have a soul. But you are spiritually blinded/dead. You cannot see the Kingdom of Heaven because you are spiritually blinded. That means you are hard hearted & your conscience is seared. First, you need to realize you're a sinner needing a Savior. You need to recognize that you are lost in your sins, because your sins have separated you from God. But Jesus made a way. He shed His blood for remission of your sins. See, since Jesus Is without sin, He raised from the dead victorious over death & hell. He did this for you while you are yet in your sins.
You need someone to pray for you (and people already are) & look up to the God of the Gospels. Ask God for the gift of faith. Faith comes by hearing & hearing a word about God/Christ. Read the Gospels out loud to yourself.

Just for the record, I don't think atheists are heartless.
But you make a good point. Shows how we Christians need to mind our tongues if we're to win anyone to Christ.

I am not heartless nor am I immoral or amoral; just because I do not believe in god or jesus doesn't make it so. Do not know where they get that idea.
