A girl asked a co-worker of mine to go out with her and he said yes. On the day of he text her he couldn't go because he was sick. A few days later she text him that she wasn't going to waste time trying to be friends with him anymore because he didn't seem to think that she was worth his time. My co-worker asked me to call this girl and tell her that he was sick. I did him the favor and I even told her what a nice guy he was. I continued to keep in touch with her without my co-worker knowing. I asked her if she had history with my co-worker, she said they went out a few times and she wanted to remain friends with him, she then asked me to be honest with her about him. I told her that he wasn't sick, he's player and he has a girlfriend. Later I invited her out and she said no, when I asked why she said because I knew what this guy was really like but I still helped him b.s her and she didn't feel comfortable with that. I admit I made a mistake but don't you think she was a bit harsh?

no she isn't over-reacting. your helping your friend lie means that you thought it was ok to do so. i wouldn't date you either. she is a smart girl!

I don't think it was that harsh. Besides, you knew your buddy was a player.. yet you lied to her and instead said how great of a person he was. It shows a lot about a persons character. At least you ended up telling the truth.. but I'm not so sure your intentions were good. Maybe you told the truth to get a chance with her.. I don't know. Just a guess.

icu I suppose it depends on how close you two are. If you are a close friend of the females then I would suggest that yes she has every right to be a little pissy. But if you are closer to the guy then in reality your obligation is to play it up for him. Regardless it sounds like your best choice would have to just stayed out of the whole thing rather than risk losing a possible friendship due to not being honest. Lesson learned I hope.

No body likes to play the fool. It sounds to me like she is just very secure with who she is, and isn't willing to let anyone in who she doesn't feel she can trust completely. If you guys did "hang out" in the future, she'd keep this incident in the back of her mind, and it would come back up later. I think you should just learn from this, and don't let any one else get you involved in their drama (especially if you know there's b.s. involved). It's commendable of you to realize, and admit to making a mistake, but some people just can't get past the past, probably stems from her being hurt by a friend before. Hope this helps.

girls are different then men. if a guy plays with her head and then the friends helps she's gonna tell u flat out "i don't have time for that". to be honest they really don't, girls hate being used (but yet some are sluts) and also they hate being treated disrespectfully thats not good to hurt a girl like that even if she was ugly as hell, a guy should still respect her no matter what she looks like, because she could be the most nicest person you ever met in your whole life. and I'm not saying he ****** with her head because she's ugly thats ex. but no matter what it's not good 2 play with a girls head, because she's gonna get hurt and when that happens since your friends with that other guy she might not even trust you just because of that. she's not overreacting thats just a way a girl is when people do that to her

Heck yes because that really doesn't have anything to do against you... you sound like a pretty nice guy... she just doesn't know what she is missing... I mean all guys lie some time but at least you told her the truth in the end... Oh yeah that was really harsh well good luck ;) .....

no, i would have been angry as well. think about it, you tried getting with her after all your lies. either way you wouldn't have gotten her. 1.) if he was sick, she'd understand and go with him later but would find out about him being a player and would take it out on you as well. 2.) if you waited til later to tell her he was a player, she'd get mad because you didnt tell her in the first place. you shouldn't do that to people. now she can't trust neither one of you guys.

Nope, sorry I am with her on this one. Seems to me if you are asking her out after all this you are probably a playa like your friend.

No. Once trust is violated it's hard to trust the violator again. Why should she believe anything you say now?
