Well to be honest, I don't like religion either. I hate religion. I do believe in God though. I believe that my relationship with God is my decision and for groups of peopl to say they believe the exact same thimg is silly. Everyone believes something different from another. But I did go through a period of atheism. I know how you feel (by the way if you believe in satan you are not an athiest) but anyway let me share a personal story. I was driving down the road at 7 in the morning after a double shift at work and i was really tired. I was going across the bridge and I looked a second later and a tractor trailor was coming right at me. This is while i was an athiest mind you. Anyway i closed my eyes and screamed "Jesus" because at that point it didn't matter if i was politicaly correct, but i was raised in the church and it was a reaction at that point because i was seconds from inpact. I closed my eyes and (no joke) i felt a gust of wind (windows closed no air on) after a few seconds i opened my eyes wondering why i hadn't crashed and i was at a dead stop and there was no truck. I turned around AND THE TRUCK WAS BEHIND ME! me and the truck driver talked to each other and he couldn't explain it because he saw my car disapear under his truck. We still talk and he is now also a born again christian. but anyway no one person can give you a reason to believe, but if you are asking you are either making fun of us or you are looking for a reason to believe and if that is the case you need to stop fighting it and give into his gracious will. Oh and another thing. I has my oldest son in the back seat when this happened. I thank Jesus every day for our lives and there is no way i would ever forsake him.But it is your call and your eternity.

Christianity is a great thing! When you are an actual Christian. As for a good argument that would make the most satanistic satanist turn christian. I don't have any. Because you can't convince someone who dosen't want to be convinced. The only thing that you can do is show them Christ by the way you live. Christians are supposed to be a light house (spreading the light of the truth to those who are lost), but in this day and age it seems like more and more of them are becomeing bull horns. And even though they shout God's Words at the top of their lungs, they are turning the lost vessels away.
But since you asked the question it makes me wonder if maybe you are wanting something to be convinced of! If this is the case E-mail me Dabarr57andmandy2006@yahoo.com!

Maybe you are none? atheist or a spirtualist, which ever you prefer, do not believe in god. However you have pin pointed Christianity why not Islam or another religion. If you can't stand the religion why do you want to know about it?

I wish we could have a long conversation. It's hard to even figure out what motivates you from reading your question. You have obviously grown up in a country which is mostly Christian. Have you seen people murdered for not believing? Had their arms chopped off? Their head slowly cut off? Beaten? Had their children tortured in front of them? These things and more are done to people in Muslim countries to people who do not accept their religion (often Christians.) How about in atheistic Communist countries. Have you ever heard of the Gulag? People who are not atheists are tortured, jailed, or murdered because they believe in God. They are usually Christians too. The United States and Western Europe are the good countries they are largely because of the strong Christian influence in their histories. My young friend, you need to read and learn a lot more before making your incredibly irresponsible statements. By the way, good luck with your satanism. I'm sure that will work out great in the long run.

organized religion causes war???? really.. i mean i kinda agree but at the same time doesn't any organization cause war. More people have died in the past century than ever before and the organizations have been communism, nazism, facism, darwinism not judism, islam, and chrisitanity. True people do fight over religion, but it also does bring good to the world, like knowledge, research, and intellect,
so to answer the question if you don't believe in god at least read about and research the religions and then if you come to the same conclusion then you will hopefully be able to live in peace with not believing, and i'd say the same goes for believers of god, don't just blindly do something you have to read a lot, learn alot and see a lot.

Christianity has its flaws, its followers.
There is a spiritual realm that's for sure. I've seen into it. I have also seen demons, which, call me crazy if you want, but they are real also. Therefore, I have to believe in God. I believe that we are setting ourselves up for disaster when we go by what society labels good/bad. Lying, stealing, cheating, resentment, fear, worry, lust, disobedience are all crimes against God. We are all guilty. So, by faith, I believe that God sent Jesus to show us how to live, and to give us a second chance at a life free from bondage.
The problem is Christians, with good intentions, are forgetting the 1st priority. Love everyone. Love ourselves. Do not judge. Do not condemn. But people forget these and focus more on the sin of the world. If all Christians loved unconditionally, served joyfully, Christianity may not be disliked as a whole, but when you have people like Westboro members representing Christianity, it sucks.

Some of the most brilliant people in the world have converted to Christianity by trying to disprove it through science. Also, lots of brilliant people continue to find reasons to not believe in Christianity. There's no sure-fired way of getting people to convert, unless Jesus Himself shows up and says hi. Then, of course, it'll be too late.
If you're one for getting your beliefs through scientific facts, you'll find plenty if you look. I believe they greatly outweigh the facts that non-believers bring up.
Of course nobody comes to Yahoo Answers and is going to change their religious beliefs because of an answer, so I'm not going into too much detail.
And why did you choose Christianity and only Christianity in your question about "good or bad"?

Last things first. No organization, religious or secular, has a monopoly on the sexual abuse of children. But the FACTS are that the majority of abuse takes place right in the family by close relatives.
Now the "one good argument" for believing in Christ? Because He is exactly who He said He is, the only Son of God, the Savior who bring us life everlasting. Why not investigate the claims of Jesus rather than simply jump to a conclusion.
And as for the answer blaming all the wars on Christianity or religion.....more people than in the entire history of the world combined were killed in the 20th century by Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot. None one of them were religious, in fact, they were atheists.

Satan himself knows that God is more powerful than him--even Satan has to ask God to do something before he can! So if someone is a Satanist, they must believe in God, right? At first, Satan was God's servant, but he rebelled against Him, and now his kingdom is the earth, even though God ultimately rules over all.
I hope this helps--please contact me if you have any questions!

I agree with you! I can't stand the religion either! I respect christians, though, because it IS their choice after all to be christians. Though I don't respect the christians at school who try to force me into their faith (Precious and Benny, I know you use this website!) As far as I'm concerned, christianity is just a way to scare people into giving them money. Besides, they make us Pagans look like devil-worshippers, which, I would love to say, we are not!
Besides, did you know that the bible was written 200 years AFTER christ died? Why Write about him 200 years AFTER his death? It doesn't make sense to me, personally.
