Do you understand the message? What do you think of it?

It's a very intelligent (constructive) criticism of religion in general and Messiahism in particular. It doesn't ridicule or make fun of you, so please don't be afraid to watch it.

It also answers the question of what the Romans have ever done for us, apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health.

I was a long time python fan but I didn't think it was that great. Holy Grail (which I think was disrespectful towards God by the way) was much funnier. LOB seemed to have an agenda, and your take on it seems to confirm that. I thought the film they did after LOB (I can't even remember the name) was even worse, and I think it was about time for MP to end at that point. Did you see And Now for something completely different? That was a brilliant film.

If a Christian can't laugh with "Life of Brian", that shows what kind of "Christian" s/he is. Pointless devotions, obsession with relics/souvenirs, the cult of personality and other such trappings are the slow, paralyzing poison of Christianity. We have too many members in the Jesus fan club and precious few who actually are willing to take up their crosses and follow him. The Pythons did a pretty good sendup of how religion goes wrong.

Blessed are the cheesemakers!

Yes, I have saw it and I thought it was very amusing. But, really are we truly calling Monty Python bits intelligent constructive criticism now?

I saw it, and understand it, but I don't think it really hit the heart of what Christianity is all about.

It focuses on the same idea you guys do, that all Christians blindly follow our leaders, which is simply untrue. Many do, but most read the Bible and come to their own conclusion about their faith.

However, as a comedy, I think it is alright, considering I'm not a fan of Monty Python. However, when Brian loses his shoe, that's funny.

I'm Brian, and the Life of THIS Brian has been rather boring to a lot of people, except for some interludes when I got way off course with a seedy crowd !

I saw it at the movies when it first came out. I loved it then and still do. It's funny. It's entertaining. But as far as messages, it's fiction and not a guide on how to live your life.

God Bless.

I love that movie! But I am the kind of person who can differentiate between comedy and serious, and as long as one doesn't take it as a serious threat to their faith ( they are out there) then it is a great one and a half hour of laughter. Monty Python is remarkable.

K- Nigits.

Yes, I am a Christian and have seen the Life of Brian. I think it's hysterical!!! I understand the message but I also understand that it's a Fictional MOVIE. You can't compare this to the real life of my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ.

Personally, I think Jesus would find the movie funny!

I had a date to watch that once, but it was with Tragic Typos. We ended up seeing a documentary called "The Life of Bran"
