My little girl is 2 1/2 and she has a virus {like hand, foot and mouth} that is causing bumps/blisters in her mouth and on the inside of her lips...All that seems to not hurt are popsciles and occasionally pudding... Can anyone suggest anything else (no fruit;citrisy, no salt, ect)Thank you :-)

Oh poor baby! And it is so hard to see them not feel well.

Jello?
Maybe Vanilla yogurt (you didn't say no dairy).
Chicken broth - maybe homemade so you can control salt and what not.
Soft cookies - like a lady finger (if she will try a solid)
Cheerios - plain
Would rasins be an issue - they are a dried fruit.

Your poor little girl! My daughter had the same thing last year...
Have you tried jello? At least she'll get some calories and fluids. My daughter loved her yogurt and still ate watermelon - both favorite foods! You could try applesauce - it might not be acidic enough to bother her. My little one still drank cold apple juice (with ice cubes) - through her sippy cup with a straw.

I don't know if she'd like it but you can also try giving her some baby food - at least it's easy to eat. My daughter also ate baby oatmeal while she had it.

If I think of anything else -I'll post it. Hard to remember after a year!

If she is not throwing up sickly, what if you made her a smoothie? Just mix up a banana and milk, I usually add other fruits and ingredients but since anything acidic would hurt her mouth try it with just a banana and you could also mix a bit of yogurt in with it.

Honestly, I'd just leave it at whatever she can comfortably eat, until she gets over the virus. She won't suffer from a short-term break from her usual diet.

You could try things like cream of wheat or cream of rice, soup, mashed potatoes, toast, etc. Bland soft foods.

Jello and mashed up bananas (separately, not together). Mash bananas and put in a little milk and sugar and mash it some more. That used to be my favorite when I was little. It puts potassium in her system which will help her get over the infection quicker.

All three above me sounds great all together. Make sure that you check with pediatrician to make sure that something like yogurt will not conflict with anything. but again, all three above sound like what I'd recommend.

my daughter had that too - it was the worsed thing ever. I could barely get her to eat anything.
