There is supposed to be a formula to use the FrontLine Plus for Large Dogs and have enought flea treatment for 8 months for your cat. Does any one know what that is?

I'm not sure about FP, but with other products you would never use dog products on cats. They use different ingredients and the stuff they use on dogs is toxic for cats.

With FP, it's unclear. I would either check with your vet or call Frontline at 1-800-660-1842.

You don't want to take chances with this.

There is nothing wrong with using the large dog frontline on cats I have a cattery and I have used it for years on my cats it is a far cheaper way of treating more then one or two cats.
Just check the amount on the cat frontline box to see how much the cat dose contains and then use a dropper to measure out that same amount from the dog one.

NO! Dont use the frontline for the dogs for a cat. Its not a just right notion. Doctors get a higher dose of it then cats do, seeing that cats are smaller. My neighbor tried to do this along with her dog and cat and ended up having to shave one of the crucial poor cats fur off...

Whoa!!!! step back. Never use a dog product on a cat. That's just plain idiotic. A dog one is way to strong and could possibly kill your poor kitty. I use Bio Spot for mine and it works very good. So what if you have to do it once a month, it's worth it to see your precious kitty feeling good and not scratching and biting itself all up. It protects against fleas flea eggs, ticks, and mos. And yes it really works. My one cat practically lives outside, the other goes out only when the weather is nice. So of course they both are very capable of getting bugs on them and really don't because the drops kill the bugs.

Check the boxes. You will see that the ingredients should be the same.

We use 1 ounce (or ¼ of a 4 ounce tube made for large dogs) on each of our full grown cats.
