To a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.
As far as a "healthy weight", that's what most of the other posts are about (calculating your BMI, diet plans, etc).... but most people will say what the "average" is according to different opinions.
As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that
That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more

You sound like you are doing a great job already! If you want to slim down a little faster, start counting your calorie intake vs. the calories you burn. 3 miles per day is great! Thats about 300 calories burned! But if you are taking in 2000 calories per day- burning 300 just isnt enough. Try to keep your calorie intake between 1000 and 1500 to see results from your workout! keep up the good work- and pay attention to what you are eating and you will look great in the strapless dress in no time!

I can't offer you specifics on how to trim down your upper body BUT on the context of how to lose fat effectively, this week I read a study that stated that if you rest between work outs as opposed to working out one hour straight you burn more fat.
For example they tested people who worked out for 1 hour straight and then they took another set of people who worked out for half and hour rested for twenty minutes and worked out again for another half.
While both groups showed to burning the same amount of calories, the calories burned in the second group was in fact more fat.
Also keep in mind that localized training does not specifically mean you will lose weight in that area. We tend to lose weight in our problem areas last. But working out the legs, which is the biggest muscle does target and kick into action the whole body. Cardio centered around the legs is most effective, so my trainer says....he teaches boxing ;-)

My suggestion is beef up your cardio. Sounds like you have a great routine, but you may of plateaued. Due to that possibility you may see continual results if you increase your difficulty and mileage.
Good luck.
