hey so i am very confused about something?

in the original bible God says that he is the only One. That we should not worship anyone but Him, & God stresses that fact many times.

So why do we worship Jesus. Is that not contradicting what God has said?

Why rewrite the bible, almost makes it look like God has made a mistake, or someone thinks He did?

Plus. Both bibles were written by man - dictating what God has said.

Considering how superstitious people were in those days, how do we know that the bibles were not just a fabrication of some random person?

so what some of you are saying is that we should just believe this woman mary, that she was pregnant with gods child, and the child being jesus says - we should just take their word for it?

but how is that different from any other woman who gets knocked up, and says she is carrying gods child, and that she is a virgin - and we just think she is a loony?

was there anyone in those days to check mary to see if her hyman was still in tact?

i believe in god, but the idea of Him having a child with a woman who was engaged or married, makes me think we are bringing God down from his Higher level.

and if we are to learn from everything in the bible, the bible is teaching us through "stories" how should we interperate this?

because all i see is adultary....

not a very good lesson...

We worship God through Jesus. Writers of the Bible were inspired by God.

So why do we worship Jesus. Is that not contradicting what God has said? We worship Jesus because He is God encarnate, God himself, therefore there is not a worship of someone or something else. He is one in God.
Why rewrite the bible, almost makes it look like God has made a mistake, or someone thinks He did? The Bible was rewritten so that you and I could understand the scripture, it is still a translation of the original Greek or Hebrew, and even though at times there is no direct translation from the greek or Hebrew words, there is still truth in what is written.
Considering how superstitious people were in those days, how do we know that the bibles were not just a fabrication of some random person? People are still superstitious and they also have written books and stories, but none has lasted and proved more relevant to all times, now, then and future than the Holy Bible. The people who wrote the original text were inspired writers of God, but yet human, therefore the essential truth is there but the stories may be a form to get that truth across.
What's Your Take On All This? My take is that of other theologians, that the mystery of the Bible is accepted in faith, not out of fear but out of love, knowing that the Bible is just that a love story from God to all humanity. Secondly it is the inspired word of God, the stories have a deeper meaning than just a boat, or a giant fish, or fasting for certain amount of days, or years lived, etc... that is were faith comes in, because without it one who reads the text for the words only gets no where.

God bless and I pray that this has helped a little.

There is only 1 Bible. Assuming that you're talking about the 66 books of The Holy Bible, it is all 1 Word of God. The OT (which I assume you're calling the "first Bible") was the beginning of the NT, and all throughout pointed to the coming of a Messiah from God. The OT is not the ultimate goal God intended, and He made this plain. He sent His Son, Jesus, who was a part of Himself, to the earth to be a sacrifice for sin to redeem man to a state of holiness. In worshiping Jesus, you are worshiping God, for The Father and the Son are one in a way that we cannot comprehend. There is also the Holy Spirit, Whom Jesus sent to us after His ascension to Heaven following His resurrection. The point to be stressed in your question is that, yes, man wrote the Bible, but at God's dictation. It is not the word or words of Man, but the Word of God. Jesus IS the Word of God, and He is alive, thus the Word of God is alive; it is not just words on paper. You, like anyone else, may choose to believe this or not, but these 2 facts, that it is alive and that it is the dictation of God, are what separates the Bible from all other sacred writings and any other work ever produced by man. If we truly understood the nature of the Bible, it'd be the biggest display in the Believe It or Not Museum.

I think that the people you are asking are we who have confused you in the first place. I can assure you of one thing, the Bible is very accurate and the source. Read the whole Bible and "The spirit of truth will lead you into all truth, even the deep things of God." Ask your spirit, feelings and self and you will answer yourself. After all it's in plain English. I think your assuming that we can read. In fact the earth is in the shape it's in because we are yet children in the word and we aren't smart at all. I don't advocate everything it says on these sites, but here are some websites that are fun and can help you clear your mind. The mind shift now going on clears up all issues for you. It says in Joel that in the last days "I will pour out my spirit on all sorts of flesh." That means you won't have to ask anyone, if you get the mind shift these sites are presenting in their own peculiar ways, but you can still get the shift. Get out of confusion and you will see all clearly for yourself. Otherwise your still in all the confusion that three or four thousand Christian denominations are all in. It's like asking a philosopher about philosopy, do you have enough litetimes?

Worshipping Jesus is still worshipping the one true God of the Old Testament. Jesus is God in human form, "Fully God and fully man". From this sprang the idea of the trinity Omnipresent Father God, God on earth Jesus and God in us Holy Spirit.

I know that the Bible is true not based on some blind faith that what God said to some guy thousands of years ago was copied down and uncorrupted over time, but because the God I know and have a relationship with, that I've seen in the love and through the actions of my life and people in my life, is powerful enough that I know what's in the Bible is exactly what he wants to be in the Bible, "God's word".

"All Religions Are Welcomed To Give Their View!"

Yeah, like you could stop them.

***************************************
Any analogy of God is thought of with a finite mind, so it's flawed at best, but for you, I give it a shot.

Jesus Christ is God. He is God's Word (communication) in the flesh. He has three attributes, contained within one being.

You are mind, body and spirit, so in your thinking you are three different beings. However, I trust after reading this you recognize the error in your thought.

Now, how do you know what the original text said, unless it was translated into your language? There are God inspired translations, and there are adversary inspired translations. I leave it to the Holy Spirit to either direct you to the correct, or not.

Why do you call the people of 'those days' superstitious'? Is it that you've already drawn your own conclusion before you even examine the evidence? Only you can answer this.

Figure it out. Your life depends on it.

There is no "original bible." The word "bible" means a collection of books, and there never was one collection of all of the words of God into one bible until the Law and the Prophets, and the New Testament were compiled into one book.

The words of God that we have today in the King James bible are the same words that holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

The word of God has been preserved and delivered to us today purely, infallibly, and inerrantly.

edit:

We worship Jesus Christ because he is God. He is the image of the invisible God, and he lives within the hearts of those who love the truth as the Holy Spirit.

Regarding the Bible....our current version, has been edited and translated over and over. Then, if you go back and study the development of the book, and of organized Christianity, you will find that after Rome decreed Christianity as the state religion, they assigned committes to design the new religion, including a committe to compile, edit and translate the various religious writings available to fit their political agenda.

The agenda was political and financial control of the masses, and had no spiritual foundation whatsoever. The easiest way to control people is through their fear of death, the unknown. There were many stories of 'savior' gods being born of a virgin during this time, so this foundation was adopted because it was commonly known among the people, and would fit in perfectly with little resistance. The creation of hell, satan, all were done to frighten people into submission, to keep people scared, and feeling unworthy to have a relationship with God outside of the 'church'.

This is in direct opposition to what Jesus taught. Jesus taught that we could have a direct, personal , relationship with God, without need of Bible (didn't exist when Jesus was alive.....so, if its Gods absolute word, then why didn't Jesus bring it himself?), church, priest or minister. The relationship is WITHIN you, not outside of you. Jesus taught that we could evolve spiritually, if we choose to do so. Jesus did not teach through fear, but through compassionate understanding. Jesus taught that we are all Children of God, everyone one of us, and each is on a spiritual path.

So, in order to grasp this concept, we have to see that the entity of organized religion is one thing, and the teachings of Jesus are another. I don't believe that Jesus should be worshipped, for such a word implies unworthiness or inequality. I believe that, as a Daughter of God, I can speak to my Creator and develop a personal relationship on my own by asking questions, and waiting to be shown the answers.

I believe that Jesus was a spiritually evolved man, who came to teach us another way to think and behave. By changing our perceptions from limited human ideas, to an expansive spiritual perspective, we can begin to understand and know of Creator. Spiritual development happens like education, grade by grade. Some people stop at high school, some at college, and some continue to learn all their lives. Just because I don't know how to do higher level math, like calculus, doesn't mean I am unworthy or unable, it just means that I have more to learn. The more we evolve spiritually, the less we operate out of fear, and the less we try to make everyone conform to 'our' way. We are confident and comfortable with our selves, and our Divinity.

It is up to each of us.....we make the choice. God is within you, and all you have to do is ask for truth, ask for answers to ALL questions, have an open mind (be ready to set aside what 'you think you know'), and get ready for life to change.

You are showing your ignorance of the bible and your lack of understanding. You should read it again and again and again to understand it.
What God means in telling us not to worhip anyone except God himself are those who worship other mankind like Virgin Mary, Joseph, Wooden images, stone images.
We should worship Jesus Christ because He is our Lord God who is the son of God, the father and we will worship the Holy Spirit of God. They in a 3 entities of God but they are one God who have the same powers but God, the Father has more power than Jesus.

Get this example : You have your father as John Joke and you are his son as Jake Joke and have your mother as Jean Joke. There are three of you in that family in one family as joke. OK

Read the bible, noting the inconsistencies and the atrocities and brutal violence. Then study history and anthropology to get some perspective. Learn about astronomy, geology, chemistry, physics and biology. Don't forget about ethics (the philosophy of right and wrong) and logic (the philosophy of truth or falsehood). Don't let others tell you what to think- find out for yourself. It's all FREE at your local library.
