How can I find out how much I can sell my car for?

It is a 2001 Dodge Intrepid, I paid $5000 for it just last year. It has a rod knocking in the engine and it has a ding on the passenger door worth $1200. I want to sell the most I can get out of it. Someone was going to buy it for $800 becuase he is rich but he was too lazy to get directions to my house. Please help, I need money.
