Seriously.
The entirety of the R&S board fits into the following categories:
#1. Proselytisation.
#2. Attacks levelled at other groups.
#3. Satire.
#4. General-purpose trolling.
None of the above imply any semblance of respect for the beliefs of others. As such, why does anyone here even pretend to be respectful of the beliefs of others?
I'm openly disrespectful of everyone else's beliefs (yes... everyone)... and am honest enough to admit it.
What about you?

To those seeking to "defend their faith" .... just how vulnerable and weak is your faith that you feel the need to defend it? Surely if you are sure in your beliefs then it won't matter what is said about it.... right?

Steve... I have nothing to do with number 1.... and for the record I determined from one of my earlier questions that you are stupider than wood-chippings.... hence your judgement is no more than amusing.

Ack, don't make me admit it!!
Yes I admit most days I have 0 respect for about 92% of Christians on this board. They are willfully ignorant, hateful, and have no desire to learn about any other religion and only want to spread thier own no matter how much they hurt other people.
Whew I feel better getting that off my chest...perhaps we should start a recovery group.
Oh and for Deke and Southpaw. They think witches are hot...
And yeah I come for the drinks.

I do not know what Truth is. I do not know which form the Higher Power (god) is.
So I read here and there and ask myself the same questions that others ask and read the replies. I reflect on the answers and see if they make sense enough to have some ounce of truth in them.
I am not here to bash other's beliefs. I am trying to find the answers to this cycle we call religion. If their beliefs are way bizarre compared to mine, it is because we have different paths on our faith journeys.
If there really is a truth, we will eventually find it. Do not make it harder for people by yelling at them for their thought,s, instead discuss the facts with them and see if you can make it any farther in finding truth.
Yeah. Some people are kinda rude and just like to be rude to others. But really that is not the purpose.
Where is the love? It has truly gone when you cannot talk to others without being ridiculously disrespectful.

In between all those bad things here are a few people who are actually here to learn about other religions or answer other people's questions about their religion.
I can respect different beliefs even though I don't always agree with them. That doesn't mean that I will respect every individual who holds those beliefs. Some simply disearn any respect by disrespecting others.

I find that for the most part you are correct. But every once and a while someone will actually ask a real question about a certain faith or belief and am happy to give them an hones answer. it's when someone asks a stupid question, that ends up being more patronizing than anything, that serves the purpose of just re-affirming would they already believe, or are trying to push on others.

I hear you and your right there are many people who do not respect other peoples religion. I have never consider myself religious and I hate that term simply because you don't have to be religious to be a good person. Most people who consider them selves religious are the biggest sinners. Most important thing I learned is to assist people when they need it
treat people the way you would like them to treat you. If someone is mean or nasty to you don't give it back to them just bless them and keep walking. I enjoy learning about other
faiths And they all basically say the same thing. We just need to listen more to each other without being judgmental

Uh... erm... I come in and answer questions w/o attacking people, usually within the boundaries of their religions which I've studied more than a few. I also answer questions about Buddhism and point people to other resources about other religions... so I can't say I'm disrespectful, however perceptions may differ even though I know MY intent.

I am rather disrespectful of any other belief that atheism (even though it's a lack of belief). I do have nice days too. Though Buddhism, Paganism, and other very natural (peaceful) belief systems are cool with me.

I come because it's fun, and I can chat with my friends.
Plus, some people do actually come looking for advice. I answer a lot of serious questions about pagan beliefs and inter-faith marriages.

Sweet Pea I respect everyone for the simple fact you can't change anyone. Now, if indeed my opinion is asked on this site of what is the real truth than I give the truth and the only one truth which is God the father, Jesus his son and the Holy Spririt. The awesome three altogether as one. God bless!

A lot of my questions are geared for seeking opinions to get new ideas etc. I'm guilty of some of the above but I do so to get other viewpoints.
