OK, Think about this:

Having a new body in which both your spirit and body, is always in a dying state, and never being able to die. Not only that, your conscious remembering all the wrongs you did to people with unimaginable guilt.

AND,

to top it all off, existing in a lake of fire and brimstone, and being able to physically feel the pain.

How does this grab you?
Hey! You asked the question.

Crucifixion was originally a Persian means of execution practiced there, that was later adopted by the Romans. Another method of execution in that Asiatic part of the world at that time was impalement on a large wooden spike sticking out of the ground - somewhat similar in that you didn't die right away, you usually lingered for a few days until you died. You died a long slow and lingering death, sometimes taking days to die. Crucifixion was the same way. The reason Christ died so quickly (after only a few hours) was because He was in a severely weakened state from His scourging and loss of blood. Someone else had to carry His Cross for quite a way because His executioners realized that He would probably die on the way to the spot of execution if He were to carry His Cross all the way Himself.

No, if you know what's involved with that method of execution, there aren't many more horrible ways to die.

There are enough ways for creatures to suffer to serve most usual purposes, but probably human suffering reaches a traction point where one ain't much different than the others.

But most human torturers throughout human history, the Inquisition, the Chinese, and Native Americans, generally seem to have agreed that a point comes where pain just doesn't hurt anymore. The mind turns off to it, the way a it does with animals.

Your question isn't easy to understand, but I hope this answers it.

Did you know that the Inquisition made a study of just how much skin you could tear off of a person before it proved fatal? They actually helped develop techniques for keeping people with serious injuries (that they'd inflicted) alive for longer periods of time...sometimes weeks....so that they could extend the torture period.
Yes, some people have come up with all sorts of horrible things to do to other people. Far worse than the few hours of whipping and crucifixion you're describing.

Yes.

Go to the chronic wing of any good intensive care facility. Go to the burn section of a hospital. Go to a senior center. People are suffering in all those locations for years and years in the most horrible ways imaginable...and some that aren't imaginable.

Your Jesus got off easy.

Prometheus, who in Greek Mythology gave the secret of fire to mortals, was chained to a mountain, where every day Zeus's eagle would swoop down and devour his liver. Each night he was healed so the process could go on. This went on for several centuries.

I bet those lashings and nails were ouchie before Jesus went back to heaven three days later.

You could always be beaten and then slowly lowered into a meat grinder while being sprayed with salty lemon juice. You could have the ground bits of yourself fed to you as you die.

Or you could just live in the bible belt and have your head explode after the forty-five trillionth time you've heard someone ramble about Jesus.

It's only physical pain. There are far worse things, such as listening to Michael Bolton or Cher.

A real "almighty" god wouldn't feel a thing. He would will himself to look as if he's really suffering, but not feel it at all. If he couldn't do that, he wouldn't be almighty ( able to do anything and everything ).
