You can move them right now, the best thing to do is put them in a whelping box. That is what it is called, usually a cardboard box with the side cut out of it, for mama to get in and out. If she trust you and you have been around them and touched her most likely she will let you touch them. Don't let them stay on nasty rugs or anything that can harbor germs. There little systems aren't immune to much right now. LIke I said a whelping box with shreaded newspaper and a small blanket for mama to lay on while she hanging with her kittens is good. Kittens like puppies usually start eating soft food about 4 weeks of age, then by 6 weeks they can start eating hard dry food, they should eat from there mom as long as she will let them, usually until about 6 weeks. She will know when a good time for them to stop. They get teeth and it hurts. Also you can start liter box training around the same time, 4-5 weeks.
Good luck

Ok, my family picked a stray off the streets then about three weeks later she had two kittins and we didnt know till a week before, ok well ive picked up her kittin that survived the whole family did then she moved to a place to a more secure place thats all she did, and ive picked it up and then the blankit she was on and changed it , the best thing is not to move them cause there mom scent has to be there so if you do move them bring the litter box and the food bowl with you to the spot, but it has to be secure to the mom cat or she will move them no matter were you put them. you may start them on kittin food not for big cats but for kittins and mabe if you do a little early then mabe put a lilttle water in the bowl with the food to softn it, or the may start on there own if not try after six week after there born . and the place you have to put them will have to be a corner with mabe some stuff around her so she will be able to see her surroundings. but dont move them if they are under two weeks old. hope my advice helps you, good luck

Well, a lot of it depends on the mom. She'll move them herself today or tomorrow- they usually move them right away.
Give mom a week to bond and if it's her first batch of kittens let her call the shots- if she gets nervous you may end up bottle feeding a bunch of kittens and I'm here to tell you it's a load of work just doing one kitten! it sounds like you're a bit of a cleaning, um, 'nut'? Don't chance it. Just relax and let her alone for awhile.
You can introduce canned food to the kittens at 4 weeks, but ideally they'll have their mom 'til 6-7 weeks at least. Dry food can be soaked and introduced.
Get mom spayed.

You can move them now into a box - with some clean rags. Moving them into the other room will be OK - make sure Mommy cat watches where you put them. Although if she is not comfortable with her "new spot" she may move them back to the closet.
They will not eat until they are at least 4-5 weeks old. They will begin to eat on their own, when they are ready.

Do a little research on the internet and learn something!!!!!
Yes you can touch them
Yes you can clean the area NOW
The eye open at about 10-12 days
They start to wean at about four weeks
They need a small shallow litter pan at about three weeks
Offer water in a small shallow bowl at three weeks
The mother can get pregnant AGAIN when these kittens are barely 4 weeks old
SPAY THE MOM WHEN THE KITTENS ARE 6 WEEKS!!!!!
The world does not need anymore kittens!!!!

it depends on how well your cat knows you. You may be able to just set a towel in a box and then put the kittens in there AND mom move them WITH mom, put her in your spare bedroom with food and water but allow her to leave the room if she wants.
