Does anyone remember this line? I think it was part of a television commercial some years ago. Not even sure what they were selling!

They must have been selling male domination.
It's true that pretty can go a long way (for both men and women) because psychologists prove that we give a lot of breaks, socially and in the business world, to attractive looking people of both sexes.
We men seem to have successfully sold women idea that they're looks are priority one because what they think and who they are inside doesn't matter. Look at the ads on TV, magazines, etc. - that you must be "sexy" WAY beats out the idea you should be "intelligent" or even "thoughful"
Look in your bathroom cabinet - how many beauty products do you own? There's your answer whether you've bought into the lie.

Don't remember where it's from, but sounds like a commercial for makeup. It reminds me of a line from The Simpsons. Lisa is buying a doll that says "Let's bake some cookies for the boys"

The line is a lie.
A dumb woman won't be able to keep a husband. It takes brains to know how to mange a household properly, raise children and cook healthy, tasty meals.
