Toothpaste is quite good at removing crayon marks from walls, Id imagine it would work well on a guitar aswell.

Sheesh. Well, I'd try WD40. That usually works for everything! You may have to take the strings off your guitar. Or maybe you could put a cloth over a pencil tip to get between them?

Whatever you decide to do, good luck!

try pledge, and if that doesnt work, Goo Gone works pretty well on SYNTHETIC. eletric guitars usually have polyester or polyurethane finishes, so you should be fine. if your guitar was over 800 dollars new and has a natural or sunburst finish, it may be nitrocellulose. if it is, then you will have to buy a polish from a guitar store. pledge and other furniture polish have silicone and cleaners that wear down nitro finishes and can soften them over time.

EDIT:
DO NOT USE WD 40, DO NOT USE BLEACH, DO NOT USE TOOTHPASTE, toothpaste is a abrasive and can damage your finish, wd 40 can discolor your finish, and bleach can , well , BLEACH your finish.

OIY th think of the abuse ,the finish on your guitar is hard ,but chemical sensitive . Get a well worn peice of felT and buff it away , after all its just colered wax put a lil elbow into it

Just to add one thing to what jkf_alone said. Do not use those Mr Clean Magic erasers either- will also scratch your finish.
