If anyone could help me please , i am trying to get to jones beach from The Bronx in NY , i am by the 2 train , but once i get to the city i have no idea how to get there. please give me as much information as possible including price, thanks!

Take the quickest route to either the LIE, Northern state parkway or southern state parkway, head east on any of those until you get to the meadowbrook parkway, take the meadowbrook south- just keep going and going and going and it will eventually run right into Jones Beach, the meadowbrook eventually turns into ocean parkway.

The only way to do this is LIRR to Freeport N-88 bus to Jones Beach The disadvantage of going to Wantagh is that the buses run considerably less frequently The most important thing that you need to know is when the last bus back is. If you have to take a cab ,your nearest LIRR station is Wantagh which is in the same fare zone as Freeport so you can get the round trip Off Peak ticket at Jamaica LIRR W/o looking it up Jones Beach to Wantagh LIRR has got to be 5+ miles

If bus/train - 2 train to 34th Street, Penn Station. Take the LIRR to Freeport. Then take the bus/taxi to Jones Beach.
If car, take the Whitestone/Throngs Neck Bridge to Cross Island Parkway. Take the Cross Island to Southern State Parkway. Take SSP to Meadowbrook Pkwy south to Jones Beach.
