2003 toyota echo. 4dr sedan. black with grey interior. 48,500mi. bought certified used 2yrs ago. 6" dent above back wheel. gets 40mpg on the highway. no special features unless you count the air conditioning. its a very modest commuter, compact car.

I'm looking to just sell it to the dealership (not trade in).

KBB value: $6,460 trade in price (at current condition)
NADA value: $7250 trade in price (I'm guessing at "good" condition")

Need to sell in 24hrs which is why I am doing it at the dealership. How much should i expect to get ripped off? What should be the bottom dollar I should expect? $6000? 6500? 7000?

HELP!

The car has low mileage, so that is a plus, but it also has some damage! As you say, it is nothing special!

I would figure top dollar on that car to be $5500 from a dealer, assuming there are no other problems (worn interior, tires or paint problems) and the car runs well They are only going to pay you actual wholesale value, not "trade in" price from a book. Wholesale is what a dealer will pay at a dealer auction!

I have not seen the car, so I am basing my price on your description, and actual dealer to dealer auction sales!

yeah you are pretty much going to get ripped off. My husband and I tried to do that with a 2004 lincoln ls, leather, sun roof, 6 disc cd, wheels, power everything, and only 40,000 and they only offered use 11,000. kbb trade in value was like 18000 at the time. The car brand new was 36000 and the dealership was sealing used ones with less features for 22000. we kept it and ended up trading it later and got nearly 17000 for it! You will probably only get 4-5000. srry. best bet is to sell it private party or tarde it in. Look at several diff., places though. The smaller nice dealerships will usually offer more than the larger ones. good luck though.

$6000 seems a little low for an echo. I would expect $7500-8000 dollars for your car. The color of it is definetly a plus for selling and so is the interior. The mileage is great to for a 2003. Impretty confident youll get a good price for it.

I agree with "fire", $5,500 based upon your miles which are good, bu the body sounds a little "picky".

Dealers do not use KBB.
That number is based on an actual auction sale, taken into account years and miles.

Used car dealer.
