Absolutely not! The child is too young to determine what is right and wrong. Children are going to trust the ones they know the most. Their parents for example. If your parents tell you that you need to kill or harm somebody in order for you to love God, that is what is instilled in you and that is what you were taught to do. Your parents have convinced you that it's the right thing to do. Most children believe their parents first before anybody else. That's where the child becomes innocent, because they weren't taught the morals to be a good person.

We are taught many things as a child. But as we get older, we should be able to decide if the things we were taught are correct or worth following.
Unless you live in an insulated society where killing is acceptable. Killing is the norm. People kill without feeling guilty. People kill without being punished. If this is your society, then you don't know any better.
However, we live in a society that dictates moral behavior. We have access to the internet so we have information at our fingertips about the good things that people do, and the bad things that we should avoid.
There's no excuse of being brainwashed as a child.

Pagan religions are noted for teaching red-hot hells. The ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, Phoenicians, Persians, Grecians and Hindus taught flaming hells. The Buddhists teach a hell wherein people cook and sizzle in blazing kettles. Is the Bible hell as hot as the pagans paint theirs?
People often forget they have brains when it comes to a topic such as hell. Oh, many persons will ponder on financial or other matters, but when hell is the subject they seem to prefer that someone else do the thinking.
Turning to the book of Genesis, we read about the creation of the earth, seas, fish, animals and even the sun and the moon. Yet nowhere do we read about God’s creating a special underworld compartment for the broiling torment of man. It seems strange that, if he made one, God did not have recorded in the Bible the creation of such an important place as a burning hell.
The Catholic Douay Bible, at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, says: “The living know that they shall die, but the dead know nothing more. Neither have they a reward any more: for the memory of them is forgotten. Whatsoever thy hand is able to do, do it earnestly: for neither work, nor reason, nor wisdom, nor knowledge, shall be in hell [Sheol, AS], whither thou art hastening.” So, since the “dead know nothing more,” or as the King James Version says, “the dead know not any thing,” it would be impossible for them to know conscious torment. And since there is no work in hell, how can there be activity, red-hot or otherwise?

Yes they will go to hell, I know many will not like my answer, but I am being honest, In order to make it to heaven YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN, there is no other way for anyone Period, that even included myself, & in 1970 when I was 20 yrs old God dealt in my life & I gave my life over to God in 1970. And if you are one of those that God saw from the foundation of the world that would accept God, he will find a way to get into your heart.

Regarless of religion, everyone knows that killing is wrong. No amount of "brainwashing" is an excuse to make the choice to take a life. I'm just using the "killing" thing as ane example we all have choices, we can be strongly influenced by others, but ultimately the "choice is yours." Also, it does not matter what you have done Christ can and will forgive anything. You just have to admit your mistakes and 'Choose His forgiveness."

If any man was ever brainwashed it was the Apostle Paul before he came to be known as the Apostle Paul.
As Saul he was the most zealous persecutor of the Church.
God knows how to get through to a person.

I think most of the brainwashed CHRISTIAN children will end up going to hell because what's taught to them is a messed up, mixed up conglomeration of "what we like" from the old testament and "what we like" from the new testament, instead of what's actually in there.

As children grow into adults, they should be studying what they believe and why to see if it's accurate and correct. Once grown up, they are responsible for themselves to decide what the truth is.
Hildulf, very sweet of you to turn this into an attack on Christians. No prejudice there.

Well, I was raised in a time and culture where discrimination against non-whites was considered only right and natural. If I am bigoted, should I be forgiven?
Questions like this are for a greater mind than ours.
