why can't EVERYONE be born without original sin?

I know this is an entirely christian concept, as Judaism has no original sin, but I'm going to run with this for the christians out there who think their god is loving. Jews, you already know this does not pertain to you.

If your god is loving, why can't it allow all people to be born free of sin until they actually commit a sin? He did it for Mary, why not for all?

Mary was not born without original sin. If she was she would still be alive. Adam was not made to die or eve.
They died because they sinned. The Bible says all men die because we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Didn't exclude Mary in that.
They also say that she remained a virgin with is not true.
Jesus had brothers and sisters the bible tells us.
God used her as a surrogate mother to carry the life force of Jesus human body. She was a Virgin until Jesus was born then Joseph took her as a wife. He at this time knew she was pregnant but he could also see she was still a virgin.
So there was no doubt in his mind that it was by miraculous conception.

Everybody already is born without original sin! The concept of original sin is a fallacy! And the Christian concept of God is most certainly NOT loving! *sm*

"If god could allow Mary to be born without the stain of original sin...?

why can't EVERYONE be born without original sin?"

Mary had as much need for for the atonement as the rest of us.. As you may have seen I am a Christian and believe in the Bible. There it is written that ALL have sinned That would include Mary... Jim

All people are born with original sins due to the sin of Adam and Eve. This concept of original sin is misunderstood. I will try to sum it up briefly. basically,as the first humans Adam and Eve , by their sin, rejected God and as they were the only humans, the sin was transmitted to all humankind. This is why we need a Savior/ messiah. So this is why it still applies to Jewish people, as they are still awaiting the Messiah.

Baptism( which washes away Original Sin) is also part of your initiation into Christianity. This practice was established by Jesus and he actually underwent it himself.By being baptized we are joining God's family and saying that we will follow his ways. This allows us to say to God( and this is a further promise when we are confirmed) that we are part of his family and want to do his work.

Mary is a unique case. She conceived( by the Holy Spirit) and carried Our Savior in her womb. So obviously she was a special woman and above the rules of normal people. She also did not sin in her life, which can not be said for any other person( except Jesus). Not all Christians believe that she was sinless or that she was the immaculate conception( the theological Catholic doctrine which states that she was conceived without original sin.

All people are born with original sins, that includes Jews and other non-Christians.They simply do not get baptized to have it removed.

Orthodox Christians do not believe in the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, the mother of Jesus. It is an allowed "theological opinion", but is not widespread. It was never a universal doctrine of the church, and should never have been promulgated by Rome as if it was. Evangelicals (which I once was) just think it's weird. Orthodox do use the term "immaculate" (Greek achrantos as found in your cited wikipedia article) when it comes to Jesus, but not as "immaculate conception" except maybe to point out that the only one person has ever been conceived without sin, Jesus. We also use the term archrantos to refer to Mary's holiness, but not to her conception. We do not call either Jesus or Mary "the Immaculate Conception". We don't call anyone "the Immaculate Conception." Blessings. /Orthodox

I am Christian and I believe that ALL children are born innocent - completely free of sin. Why should we be accountable for something someone else did? Sex (within marriage) is not a sin anyway.

She was born without original sin, because God had a specific purpose for her. She was born because she was to become the mother of God's son, Christ. That's the way I've heard it anyway.

Mary wasn't born without the stain of original sin. That she came to chastize Jesus while He was teaching shows that she had that sin nature we all possess. It demonstrated lack of patience, focus on self and lack of understanding God's purpose----all things that grow out of our own sin nature and not out of our redeemed natures.

To me, there is no such thing in being 'free of sin'. Once you are born into this world, you are being born in a world that is commiting crime, wars, adultery and everything that is against God and the bible. If you were born in a 'sin free' world Jesus would not need to be the 'savior' of his brothers and sisters.
