You are faced with a major decision. When you are out of highschool, you will likely move back anyway to attend college and have better opportunities. In the meantime, why don't you give in and do what is right for your family? Have you realized that with them not being happy, it is affecting you and how you feel? He also would benefit from medication if he will see a doctor. Bring this up, and if he does improve, then he may no longer want to go anyway. They are being reasonable enough with you to give you a say so when they do not have to. Do what is best for your family right now bc you will soon be off to start your own life whereever you wish. Good luck with your decison and God Bless you hun.

I think it depends on how old you are. If you're 17 and turning 18 soon, then I would personally choose to stay in Ontario where you you have things you like, need, and a life. I wouldn't get toooo wrapped up in your dad's depression though because you can easily get depressed too. Be there for him but just don't let yourself get sucked in. KNow what I mean?

You need to not worry so much about yourself and think of your dad, this is a decision that might help him get out of his rut. Your dad is the bread winner in the family if he needs to do this it's not just for money it's for his health. Do the right thing and suck it up and move, you will make new friends and maybe it won't be as bad as you think.

Hun, what you gotta do is go up to your mom, and ask her to sit down and talk with you. As the child in the family, you should not be able to or have to make a major decision that affects your daily life. Explain to her that you dont want the effects of the decision to be your fault, and ask her kindly to make the decision for you. Hope it works out!

I'm sorry your parents dumped their problems on you. I'm not sure how moving is supposed to help your dad, it sounds like he need professional help not a move.

I would tell your mom just that. You're a kid, its not right for her to expect you to decide something so important. I would ask her how is moving supposed to help your father. I would think being closer to doctors and such would help someone that depressed. Good luck.
