Ask them: Why you guys can't get together? If more than 20 country with more than 30 belief associated NATO, EU, and else, why can't you; who pray to the same Qibla, Read the Same Book, Follow the teachings of the same Prophet; why can't you get together? What's the problem?

Ask about the three levels of belief.
Belief with the mind, belief with the body and belief with the heart.
It is at the core of most Muslim belief, and should give him/her something interesting to talk about (at least if they know a decent amount about their faith.)
You could also ask for an explanation of the five pillars and their purpose.

Ask them what hope they have of ever getting to heaven.
Ask them if they can know before they die if they will go to a place of peace or to eternal torment.
