Thanks : )

I see where you can get a certificate in sonography if you have a degree in radiology, and these programs are accredited. It seems that you in fact can do this, but only if you do radiology first? Not sure...

I really don't know first-hand but I've seen college programs for solely medical sonography/ultrasound and those that are solely for radiographic technology. Both programs might have a bit about either one. In other words, the sonography may teach about radiology and vice versa.

If you plan on doing both, radiologic technology would come before sonography, but you can do either by itself. However, if you become a sonographer, and later decide you want to do x-ray, there is no reason you couldn't do it the other way around.

sure, that's a actual direction of learn. you in many cases get knowledgeable in radiology which consists of sonograms as properly as xrays, etc. If I have been you i could hit upon a school that provides such preparation. in the event that they provide a level in this section then they're going to inform you what classes to take and whilst. verify including your community community college first because of the fact they're going to grant the classes at a cheaper value then most of the "inner maximum" colleges or technical faculties specializing in this variety of degree. To be an entire time pupil you will probable could carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

No, they are two totally and completely separate fields, they use separate equipment. Not even close.

The salary for both is about the same, and only varies with the hospital.

You would have to get a separate 2 year degree to do both, but a hospital is not likely to employ you as both.
