because grapefruit juice is very very acidic and when you ingest it, it dissolves food faster in your stomach therefore causing weightloss

As far as I know there is no scientific evidence proving that grapefruit or grapefruit juice helps your body burn fat and thus help with weight loss. Just like all other fruit juices, grapefruit juice has a certain amount of sugar which can be converted into calories. So if you go on a diet while drinking tons of grapefruit juice, you may not be able to lose much weight.

I was told to eat half a grapefruit every day to lower my cholesterol, by a nurse. So maybe that is how it works, lowers your cholesterol so you can begin to burn. I am not sure juice works the same way because of all the sugar that is put in juice.

Years ago people in the Mallory Battery factory were found to be less fat due to ingestion of acid in the work place. Seems the acidity reduces appetite. Maybe this is the tie in.

Eating and drinking fewer calories plus reasonable exercise is the best way to loose weight !

It contains antioxidants and has several vitamins as well. It also helps blood circulation.
