I read some answers from Christians and some are saying the bible has errors in it. Can you please show me where the errors are? I know the bible was written by man but it was also inspired by God, who can not tell a lie. Are you saying man is incapable of writing one single book without error? Please show me where the "errors" are and please provide your resources.

For those who don't believe in God there's no need in trying to convince me to turn my back on Him, it's not going to happen. I'm not looking for conversion, I'm looking for answers.

EMPEROR SPACED GUY: Transalational errors I think are possible but nothing convinces me that there are errors.
ADAMS RIB: I agree and have said the same thing.
GAVIN N: Jesus' blood satisfied Gods need for blood offerings. Nothing nutty about that.
MORE TEA VICAR: Just because you fail to believe does not make it an error. And stay in context, God is NEVER defeated.
JIMI4950: Just because a more "modern" name is used, how does that make it an error? Still not convinced.

the bible is right and has been inspired by God but man has tampered with it by writing their own bibles, I can point out one mistake, the name Jehovah appears in some bibles how ever the scholars are taking it out. The name was coined in the 12th century by a catholic monk named Raymundus Martini in Spain, it didn't find it's way into The bible until the 15 th century now translators know it's in error and taking it out.
I believe in Jesus Christ and we do our best to preach him but some religions have scared the fabric of Christan's by living a life contrary to the word of God. As Paul spoke he even said that some have gone out and started to preach a different Jesus Christ.

--Most if not all significant errors have been exposed such as
--John1:1,2 falsely indicating Jesus is God!
--1 John 5:7 that there are three witness bearers and all are one-exposed as spurious!
--THE RAPING out of the Bible God's name as Yahweh or Jehovah by many trinitarian Bible translators has been exposed!
--THERE ARE OTHER indications of false translation of words , but more are being found as the greater number of manuscripts expose such falsehood inserted for the covienence of erroneous religious doctrine.

--In the introduction to his seven volumes on The Chester Beatty Biblical Papyri, Sir Frederic Kenyon wrote: “The first and most important conclusion derived from the examination of them [the papyri] is the satisfactory one that they confirm the essential soundness of the existing texts. No striking or fundamental variation is shown either in the Old or the New Testament.
--There are no important omissions or additions of passages, and no variations which affect vital facts or doctrines. The variations of text affect minor matters, such as the order of words or the precise words used . . . But their essential importance is their confirmation, by evidence of an earlier date than was hitherto available, of the integrity of our existing texts.”—(London, 1933), p. 15.

--“In the number of ancient MSS. [manuscripts] attesting a writing, and in the number of years that had elapsed between the original and the attesting MSS., the Bible enjoys a decided advantage over classical writings [those of Homer, Plato, and others]. . . . Altogether classical MSS. are but a handful compared with Biblical. No ancient book is so well attested as the Bible.”—The Bible From the Beginning (New York, 1929), P. Marion Simms, pp. 74, 76.

It is noteworthy, however, that a respected scholar, George Rawlinson, M.A.,
--The superiority of Christianity as a religion whose followers worship with truth is highlighted by George Rawlinson, who wrote: “Christianity—including therein the dispensation of the Old Testament, which was its first stage—is in nothing more distinguished from the other religions of the world than in its objective or historical character. The religions of Greece and Rome, of Egypt, India, Persia, and the East generally, were speculative systems, which did not even seriously postulate an historical basis. . . . BUT IT OTHER WISE (my caps) with the religion of the Bible. There, whether we look to the Old or the New Testament, to the Jewish dispensation or to the Christian, we find a scheme of doctrine which is BOUND WITH FACT(my caps); which depends absolutely upon them; which is null and void without them; and which may be regarded as for all practical purposes established if they are shown to deserve acceptance.”

I think the Bible is God's Word to us.
Sure, there are errors - not interfereing with overall
meaning, though! Language is imperfect!
Interpretation is imperfect!
Pride/selfishness also gets in the way!
We understand in part, yet God is the fullness of life!
Our sincere questions towards God
(as the phophets of old certainly had)
are a part of the on-going process!
It's WHO you know. In prayer and
with the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart,
the Bible's authority is not ever contradicted
or put on trial and its meaning is made clearer!
Hide the Word in your heart! Take care!

The message is still there even if the words are not exact. Christ came to earth to lead man back to God, he lived and died for us. He is the King that will lead us to the waters of life.

Sure, the bit with the talking donkey, the bit with the talking snake, the bit where some guy lives in a whale, the bit where they manage to squeeze two of every animal on a boat...
How about where it says everyone is equal, but then god tells people to stone homosexuals to death?
The bit where it says god is omnipotent, but then he is nearly defeated by chariots?
Judges 1:19: "The LORD was with the men of Judah. They took possession of the hill country, but they were unable to drive the people from the plains, because they had iron chariots."

Translational errors mainly from the original text into English.
There's one story in Matthew I believe where Jesus is telling the story of David eating bread. The details were wrong. Either Jesus mispoke or he was misquoted whenever the writer decided to write Matthew - which was after his death.
Thumbs down? It's true sheesh.

What are lies? There are several differing accounts of the resurrection in the Gospels, but were any of them lies? None of the writers were actually there, and they were writing years or even decades after the event, so they had to rely on their memories and the recollections of witnesses. At least some of them got it wrong, but should that shake your faith in the fact of Christ's rising from the dead. It doesn't mine!
