Scientists of the world disagree. But you've got John Stossel and his epic mustache on your side of the argument, so you must be right.

It may very well be real, but:
1.) The "global warming" trend Al Gore is trying to whip people into a frenzy about has been an increase of ONE degree Fahrenheit over the course of a century;
2.) The last time it was this hot was in the 1400's -- and we all know how many SUV's people were driving then;
3.) There have been times in Earth's history where there were NO permanent polar ice caps (technically, we are still in an Ice Age right now).
These facts beg the questions: how much could we control the Earth's temperature, even if we wanted to; and what exactly is the "correct" temperature for the planet?

IN the early sixties the worlds most eminent scientists told us if we did nothing about global cooling down the world was facing doom. This we are told is the wettest summer for sixty years, was that due to global warming back then?
I will soon be going on my third of four trips abroad, by plane, this year and will not give 'GLOBAL WARMING ' a second thought.
Must go , I've got to go outside and spray some aerosols into the atmosphere for no reason.

I have to vouch with what the majority of scientists are saying, as I do not study climate change for a living or have an in depth knowledge of the subject. And most believe that global warming is a threat to this planet and that changes are related to the human output of carbon dioxide. But it seems to me that natural climate changes have been more severe than what is being observed today. Did you know that during the Ice Age, 1/3 of the Earth's surface was covered in ice?
I am more skeptical of Hollywood and the Al Gore "carbon footprint" crap, and their suggestions U.S. homes are going to pollute the air as much as the unregulated factories in developing China and India. Their recommendations reek of environmental scare tactics of the 70's and seem to preach a reduction of lifestyle quality. And I've heard that recycling creates more pollution than making new products (save for aluminum, as it is expensive to mine boron).
So I think that global warming is a threat, but I blow off Hollywood elitists who live in five star mansions but have the gusto to tell the rest of us how (not) to live. And I don't turn on lights when I am not using them, but that is good economic sense.

I do have my doubts about the causes. I think a lot of people forget that there was an ice age - so yes climate change has been happening for a very, very long time. Not only that, the sun is a middle aged star, and as stars get older, they get hotter too, so surely that would have a major impact on the earth's temperature too. I don't think climate change is due to what we've done, it's going to heat up anyway.

Just because you think Global Warming isn't happening does not mean that driving in a big car does not damage the environment.

No! God gave us this planet to live on, not destroy! Polution, and all the crap factories put in the air, how can that be good for us, or the planet? and sooner, or later, we will pay for our arrogance, and anyone who refuses to see the warning signs, is not only a fool, but just does not care!
And as for terrorists, the biggest one we face right now, sits in the White House! The other is the Rep, party! who's voice is the only one in the whole wide world that matters!
NOT!
This is the religious category, but I can Americanize here, as well as in gov, and pol,! Love and Peace, as always!

If you wish to look at it Biblically since this is the R&S section, it is a myth. God said: Geness 8:21 "...LORD said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done. 22 "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease."

I do find it hard to believe, mostly because the Earth is much more powerful than we are and the industrial revolution has been in existence a minute fraction of the time the earth has been here. Do we really think we could do that much destruction in such a relatively short time. That said, we should of course curb our habits and strive to clean the place up!

Since the polar ice caps are melting I'd say that is proof that global warming is real as well as many scientific study that points to it.
